Dior Ultra Appeal, Ultra Lively, Ultra Kiss Ultra Rouge Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Ultra Appeal (587)
Dior Ultra Appeal (587) Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a medium-dark pink with soft, warm undertones and a cream finish. It had rich color coverage that applied evenly and smoothly in a single layer. The consistency was balmy, lightly creamy but not too thick or overly slippery, which made it comfortable to apply and to wear. It developed a slightly clingier feel within a minute of application, but it was never truly clingy. It wore well for five hours and was hydrating while worn.

Formula Overview
$37.00/0.11 oz. - $336.36 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "incredibly long-wearing" with "12 hour" wear paired with an "ultra-comfortable" feel and "high-pigmentation." First and foremost, no, it doesn't last 12 hours, and most shades don't come close--they last between four and six hours typically. There were a few, like deeper reds, that still had some product remaining after eight hours, but the lighter shades never made it through the meal. They have a very creamy consistency, balm-like, and within 30 to 45 seconds, they develop a slight cling, almost like a film, but it wasn't actually clingy or uncomfortable--I could just tell that there was a texture change as it "set." However, the "setting" of this formula just has that feeling, but the product would still transfer onto a glass or disappear during a meal.
Most of the shades were semi-opaque to opaque and applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without tugging or dragging. Some shades were more smoothing than others, but most shades looked flattering over my natural lip texture. The formula was lightweight, comfortable, and lightly to moderately hydrating over time. They had a heavy, powdery, floral scent that was noticeable for the first half hour of wear, though I didn't notice any taste.

Ultra Lively (450)
Dior Ultra Lively (450) Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a medium coral with warm, orange undertones and a satin finish. The pigmentation was good, though just shy of true full-coverage, and the color went on evenly with very minor settling into my deeper lip lines (not at all noticeable from a normal viewing distance). The texture was lightweight, smooth, and balm-like–glided across like melting butter–but seemed to shift a bit in texture to feel less slippery within a minute or so of application. It stayed on well for four and a half hours on me and was lightly moisturizing over time.

Ultra Kiss (555)
Dior Ultra Kiss (555) Rouge Dior Ultra Rouge Lipstick ($37.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a medium-dark pink-coral with warm undertones and a natural sheen. It had nearly opaque color payoff in a single layer paired with a smooth, balmy texture that was emollient without being heavy or slippery on my lips. It “set” to feel a touch clingy but not in an uncomfortable to way, more that I could tell it changed in texture to some degree. The color applied evenly and didn’t emphasize my lip lines while it lasted for five hours and was hydrating while worn.

Based on the original lip swatches, expected better performance across the board.
Ultra Appeal is my favorite of the three, but for $37, I expect an A rating at the very least.
Well, I suppose I called it right. These shades were bound to have dupes within many a makeup addict’s stash, and sure enough, I have a close dupe for all 3 reviewed today. Incidentally, I just wore CP x Shayla C’mon Sis yesterday!
These are all really pretty!
