Formula Overview
-
The formula is supposed to have a "creamy and comfortable texture" that is long-wearing and has "intense color" (or "high-pigment"). There are five finishes that can be found within various palettes: matte, satin, shimmer, metallic, highlighter, and glitter, though there aren't specific descriptions by finish, unfortunately.
There were a few shades that seemed more sparkly and were sheerer, more like layering shades, while the other finishes tended to be pigmented. In general, the texture was moderately dense with the matte shades being slightly thinner and a smidgen powdery in the pan compared to the satin, shimmer, and metallic shades.
Aside from those more sparkly shades, the formula was blendable, pigmented, easy to work with, and lasted an average of eight hours on me (without a primer).

I totally want this palette for my weekend bag. These shades definitely fall into my core colour range with enough variation to maybe consider this one as a way to travel lighter.
Even though I actually will incorporate a red eyeshadow in an eye look, something tells me that this could make me look quite ill or like I’ve been crying. So, not for me. I will say this, though; the quality is certainly there!
This is very tempting for travel. I do love a red smokey eye. This would add some oomph to the basic neutral palettes I often pack for trips.
I would have thought there was enough red toned kind of shades around in lots and lots of palettes than for Dior to devote a whole quint to the one shade. Not for me.
I’d love these colours in a scarf or shawl but on my eyes they wouldn’t be flattering at all. Like Nancy, I’d look as though I’d been crying or had had a serious allergic reaction to something.
Wow wow wow!
I can and do wear red eyeshadow, but this was just too deep shade wise for me.
Yep, I agree these are tricky colors to pull off unless you want to look bloodshot or ill. Beautiful quality though, but Iām guessing other than for editorial purposes nearly impossible to be pretty.
Too red for me but i suppose it would work well for someone with a deeper skin tone.
This is absolutely gorgeous. I LOVE red eyeshadow!
