Dior Hologlam (601) Rouge Blush Review & Swatches
Hologlam (601)
Dior Hologlam (601) Rouge Blush ($44.00 for 0.23 oz.) is a light-medium, pink-coral base (almost matte in finish) paired with iridescent blue and violet sparkle. The finish had a distinctive sparkle and sheen that seemed more “on top” of the base color, as if I had applied a blush and then topped with a highlighter. It was spectacular and hard to replicate with a single product (but if you have a bluish-violet highlighter, try that over a peach/coral blush!). The texture was smooth to the touch, denser and firmer, though not stiff or difficult to blend out. It had good color payoff that was buildable to full coverage with less than half of a layer on top. The blush stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours on me and did not seem to suffer from sparkle migration.

Formula Overview
$48.00/0.22 oz. - $218.18 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have a "silky" and "lightweight" texture that's long-wearing and have "buildable" intensity. The blushes had a smooth, lightweight consistency that was finely-milled, though not as silky as I would have expected, without being too powdery nor too firmly-pressed into the pan.
The majority of the shades I tested had medium, buildable pigmentation that was hard to over-do but could definitely be intensified for higher coverage if desired. They applied evenly and blended out without issue, and they seemed to sit well on my skin with a semi-matte finish or higher. The more shimmery shades were still more low-level and had a sheen rather than overt shimmer that yielded a more metallic finish.
On my skin, most of the hues I trialed lasted eight hours before showing signs of fading. There was a soft, floral scent to the powders.

I really don’t need another blush, especially an expensive blush like this. But, oh…soooo pretty!!!!!! Not sure I’ll be able to resist this one
Try layering two products – if you have an iridescent violet or blue eyeshadow (or highlighter), you could probably make it work!
I have the ABH Moonchild Glow Kit, so I might give that a try. Thanks for the suggestion!
OMG, this Dior looks glorious.
The swatches do not so it justice compared to how it this blush looks on your cheeks.
I’m glad to see it paired with Fu$$y.
I have that on order; should arrive today!
Now that is one super gorgeous, very different looking blush! And I’m in love with how it looks. I will be experimenting with MAC Spring Flock with a veil OF Nyx Lavender Steele or KVD Amethyst over it to see if that is similar enough, though! ?
Oh wow, that is SO pretty! I don’t think I’d like it on me but it looks really great on you, Christine.
*Jaw drops* This is absolutely stunning!
Just gorgeous and I love the subtle finish.
When is this
Going to available at Sephora?
No idea!
This is so pretty! You can see that iridescent sheen too it and it’s stunning! It’s really a cool product. I am always looking for something that will brighten my skin and this might be it!
Wow, this is so unique! Very, very tempting!
Gorgeous and different, beautiful on you.
hi christine, will this show up as a blush (not a highlighting one!) on medium skintones?
Yes, I think so, but I have found that “medium” means a surprisingly wide range of skin tones, so it’s hard to say for sure without knowing what you consider medium!
NC35 😉
I think so!
Absolutely stunning!! Definitely on the wish list. In the meantime, will look a product in my stash that might approximate that violet-bkye shift.
That was an unexpected surprise! Love to see more unique and multidimensional shades like this. Go Dior!
Just noticed your earrings. I love them! 🙂
I have been so impressed with Dior’s new blushes. I have Stand Out(shimmery orange) and 999(shimmery red) and they are both absolutely stunning. This one is as well….and as soon as I read your review I ordered it!!
I
You got me! Bought it immediately since you rated it high and said it’s hard to duplicate. So excited. Thank you as always Christine.
Wow! This blush looks gorgeous, but I just picked up Two Faced Strobeberry. So, don’t know if it’s different enough to purchase. It looks so unique.
Mine arrived yesterday!
Damn if it Isn’t one of the most beautiful blushes I have ever seen/used!
It is a beauty!
My husband ended up giving this to me as my Christmas present after I showed him the swatches!!! It’s as beautiful in person as it is in photos – the color and sparkle are amazing.
Christine, have you swatched this against Cargo Water Resistant Blush in the shade Bali? It is also a medium warm pink with a lavender shift. The photo of this Dior blush looks very similar. I didn’t see it on your possible dupes list but at only $26 (vs. $44), it could be a good alternative.
So sorry, Rachel, but I don’t have that! I long ago stopped reviewing Cargo products because they were so lackluster, and it isn’t at all requested on the blog presently, so it hasnt’ been a brand that makes sense to purchase from (when there are higher priority brands/products requested).
Sure. I haven’t purchased from them in years either but did have it my collection. It came to mind because I’ve seen them pop up at TJMAXX recently and thought some people might have it because of that. Thanks for the response!
I hope you’ll add it to our Dupe List – we allow users to submit since I can’t review everything 🙂
I need this in my life! I love the shade and holographic sparkle. Thanks for the review, I had no idea this came out. But I can’t find it at Sephora?!
This blush was exactly like you describe. I was debating which color to buy and I’m so happy I read this review. I’ve never owned a makeup like this one . It’s truly just beautiful. It’s like a matte pink with blue purple highlighter on top. If you are debating, buy this one. Its just so cool looking.
