See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.
As I mentioned, the formula is comparable to products like NARS Dual Intensity, MAC Extra Dimension, Estee Lauder Gelee, and so forth. The powder has a smooth, blendable consistency that isn’t too firm or too soft, and it has a “dryness” to it that I feel but doesn’t appear on the skin (it’s not powdery or caky on). The amount and size of shimmer is just shy of emphasizing pores on me, but it may emphasize pores on someone who feels like they have larger pores–it is a more metallic one–though it can always be applied with a fan brush for less impact. The color lasted for eight hours before fading on me.

Sigh….so beautiful! Now I don’t know which one to get – this one or the pink one, but as I have Mary-Loumanizer, I might go for the pink one. Quick question – do you have this all over your face or just on your cheekbones (ditto with the pink shade)? Because it’s subtle, it’s difficult to tell. Also – okay, 2nd question – the Clarins shadows you are wearing – are they something new that is coming up (and that maybe you will be reviewing?)? I looked for them on Clarins’s site and there is nothing there like these shade names, which I’m guessing are in a quad.
Just on cheeks, but it can be used all over (with a light hand!). The Clarins eyeshadows are new – I bought mine from Nordstrom, but I think Saks has them up too! They are singles, like a cream/powder hybrid (like ColourPop, Chanel, etc.). Hoping to review but I am running behind with spring already, lol!
Oh, I have a few of those Clarins shadows (the original, permanent colours) and I love them – I actually prefer them to the Chanel I d’O ones, to be honest (though I prefer the Lise Watier ones even more but they’re in such a limited shade range). They’re not showing on the CDN site yet…hope they show up soon. Thanks for all the info.
Fingers crossed they arrive soon. I know I did check Clarins’ shortly after (wanted more info on them) but didn’t see them yet.
Oooh, this is going to be a tough one! I already have Mary Lou Manizer and love it, but this one would add more color, and the shimmer is more complex. The other dupes are probably too dark for me. And no fragrance or bad alcohols either to save me! I’m going to have to think fast ’cause this is probably going to sell out. Eeek, decisions, decisions.
Keep us posted 😀
I already have the dior transatlantique.. But i am sooo tempted to get this one!! Its so gorgeous!
If you use it often and want something lighter, maybe 🙂
OMG! This is beautiful! I really like the one from yesterday too though! Oh no! I hardly never like Dior products! Oh, they are so pretty and so expensive too! IDK if buying both is a good idea. Christine, since our skin tones are close, which do you like on yourself?
I think the Glowing Pink is harder to dupe for me – this one I have other shades that are so close that look even closer on that I prefer!
Good point! I have many of the dupes listed for this one & not the pink. Both are sooo pretty! This is tough.
It’s really great that Dior included a warmer option, I just don’t know that it’s the one for me. I do love that it’s definitely more subtle than almost all of its dupes. Not sure why it isn’t calling to me? But I sure do love some of the dupes!
I’ve always liked that they often do a Pink/Bronze option in their products!
After treat myself well at Christmas, I’m passing on these highlighters, as beautiful as they are.
Christine, might you be reviewing Chanel’s Spring 2016 ribbon blush? Apologies if you have and I missed it.
Hey Tracey,
I don’t have anything from Chanel’s collection at this time!
Thanks for letting me know, Christine. I see the collection’s out at Nordstrom.
Very beautiful, though probably a bit too dark for me.
I could see it being too much color/less highlight on fair skin tones!
Very pretty! I like that it’s a little lighter than Opal. If it was cheaper, I’d pick it up.
It is a pricey one for sure!
I’ve been buying way too many highlighters lately so I really need to skip this. But it’s so beautiful! I feel like I have to have it lol
lol! Think of your dupes!
wonderful on you
Thank you 🙂
It is a really beautiful illuminating powder and it looks lovely on you Christine.
Aw, thanks a lot, Genevieve!!
This is beautiful, but I think I’ll go with the pink one, having Mary-Lou and a few other more golden highlighters.
Good idea 🙂
This is STUNNING! Absolutely love it on you Christine.. glorious!
Yay! It is a beauty!
OH MY GOD I was so sad that I never got my hands on the Transatlantique highlighter and now they came out with a dupe! I think the heavens have answered my prayers. I already have MAC Oh! Darling but I’m still getting this one because I will never have enough of good highlighters…
LOL! Enjoy, Alex 😀
What a stunner.
It is!
I am looking for a light gold highlighter for my fair skin. Do you think this will work? My skin is intensity one for Estee Lauder double wear light. I believe I am nw20 for Mac.
Yes, I think this would work!
Christine, how does this compare to the new ss16 Burberry highlighter in Nude? Could they pass as dupes for one another? I just got the Burberry Nude and the pink version of this Dior highlighter but trying to decide if I need this Nude shade from Dior as well. I already own Becca Opal, MaryLou and Colorpop Wisp and now the Burberry Nude…I feel like I am pretty well stocked up on goldish highlighters! But I know you replied to several others and this Dior nude highlighter was dupable and there were others that you actually preferred to this one. Agh! Decisions, decisions! Just curious to know if you swatched the Burberry highlighter next to this one.
Sorry, I don’t have that.
