Medium-Deep

CoverFX Medium-Deep The Perfect Light Highlighting Palette ($42.00 for 0.38 oz.) includes two powder highlighters and two cream highlighters housed in a cardboard palette. The cream formula is supposed to have a “dewy, radiant glow,” while the powder highlighters have a “silky, luminous finish.” The tones are definitely warm and run slightly redder overall, as three of the four shades have more of a brown/red mix of undertones than yellow. The cream highlighters could have worn longer, but if you like a dewy, subtle sheen, the formula might be up your alley. Both of the powder highlighters can be purchased individually, but should you prefer them in a palette, the colors are consistent but the quality is better in the individual versions for me.

Sunlight

Sunlight is a medium-dark gold with warm undertones and a pearly, dewy finish. It was richly pigmented with a creamy, smooth texture that wasn’t too tacky or too emollient, but it still had enough slip that it blended out nicely. This shade lasted for seven and a half hours on me.

Candlelight

Candlelight is a deep coppery brown with warm, reddish undertones and flecks of gold and copper shimmer. This yielded slight color on my skin tone with more of a natural, pearly sheen. The shimmer was more pronounced in this shade, but I did not feel like it translated to a metallic finish once blended and diffused on my cheekbones–but it was definitely dewier and more apparent compared to Sunlight. I also felt that it could have been a little easier to blend out overall. The cream highlighter stayed on for seven and a half hours on me.

Sunlight

Sunlight is a soft gold with warm, yellow undertones and a pearly sheen. The permanent version had a warmer, more orange undertone with more apparent shimmer, and the texture was also softer and more blendable. The texture of the powder in the palette was denser, firmer, and almost a little stiff, which resulted in less coverage in one layer. This shade wore well for seven and a half hours on me.

Mica, Boron Nitride, Zinc Stearate,Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Lauroyl Lysine, Silica, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Stearoyl Glutamic Acid,Camellia Sinensis Leaf Powder, Dehydroacetic Acid, Glycerin, Lycopodium Clavatum Extract, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Tocopherol,Imperata Cylindrica Root Extract, Phytosphingosine, Ethyl Linoleate, Ethyl Linolenate, Ethyl Oleate (+/-) Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI77492, CI 77499).

Candlelight

Candlelight is a deep, coppery brown with warm, red undertones and a soft, frosted sheen. It was richly pigmented, and it was easy to blend and diffuse on the cheekbones. The consistency was a touch dry, but it did not kick up too much excess product in the pan and did not appear dry applied. The highlighter started to fade after eight hours of wear.
