Cover FX Light-Medium The Perfect Light Highlighting Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Light-Medium
CoverFX Light-Medium The Perfect Light Highlighting Palette ($42.00 for 0.38 oz.) includes two powder highlighters and two cream highlighters housed in a cardboard palette. The cream formula is supposed to have a “dewy, radiant glow,” while the powder highlighters have a “silky, luminous finish.” Overall, the four shades included have more of a subtle to light sheen, so the palette would be best for someone who liked lighter, golden hues and subtle highlighters.

Celestial
Celestial is a light gold with a pearly sheen. It looked pinker in the pan, but it ended up rather golden when swatched (even heavily). The creamy texture was thin without being too thin or tacky, so it spread well on the skin but did not slide around. It offered a light glow that wasn’t overtly shimmery and worked on bare skin or layered over foundation. It didn’t feel like it totally dried down, so it was also slightly dewy. On me, it wore well for seven and a half hours.

Celestial
LELimited Edition.
Moonlight
Moonlight is a medium gold with warm undertones and a luminous sheen. It had stronger shimmer and a stronger finish on the skin compared to Celestial. It had a creamy, lightly emollient texture that blended and spread well across the skin without being too tacky, so I didn’t have issues with it lifting base products off when layered over them (but it was tested over bare skin for longevity). The base color seemed less noticeable once I diffiused the color on my cheekbones, so it may read warmer/deeper on certain skin tones compared to mine. This shade lasted for seven and a half hours on me.

LELimited Edition.
Celestial
Celestial is a light, rosy beige with subtle, warm undertones and a pearly sheen. The consistency was a little drier and dustier than I was hoping, though it blended out and applied without issue. It was very subtle on the skin with just a touch of sheen (more apparent in person than in photos), so it would work well for someone who does not like an intense highlight. The product started to fade after seven hours of wear.

Moonlight
Moonlight is a light, peachy gold with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had good pigmentation that applied evenly and smoothly to the skin. The powder felt a little dusty, but it blended out easily and did not look dry or chalky on my cheeks. This shade is available on its own, and the color and quality are consistent with the individual version. It wore well for seven and a half hours before fading.

Hmmmm, looks pretty but I usually don’t like having creams and powders in one compact – It turns into such a mess. Especially if the powders are dusty!
I totally get that! I didn’t even realize there were creams and powders in it until I swatched, lol!
I put the darker one on my wishlist, I adore shimmery bronze highlights in the summer, it makes me feel so good!
I’m happy this didn’t rate too bad!!
Medium-Dark is up next!
I’m not sold on it. It’s not bad, I’m just not that into it.
Totally understand! 🙂
I wonder how this would work on very pale complexions – it seems a bit browny to me, but they all look great on you Christine.
Thank you!
I really like CoverFX highlighters! They are those you can see miles away! I love the powder version as they seem a lot easier to travel with. It would be so nice if they’d sell these individually – I don’t know if I’d ever finish one palette completely!
Glad you are digging the powder version!
Verrrry subtle. On my iPad, they don’t look very differentiated on. Nowhere nearly as much as the liquid formulas. Or, as expected. And lots of dupes. Highlighters are getting pretty market saturated, though they don’t seem to be going anywhere soon.
Highlighters are sooo numerous this year!
The highlighters are nice but don’t particularly grab me. (Perhaps it is because there are so many out on the market lately, as someone else mentioned.) Your makeup look in these photos, on the other hand, is totally wowing me!
