ColourPop So Very Lovely Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches

So Very Lovely
ColourPop So Very Lovely 12-Pan Pressed Powder Shadow Palette ($18.00 for 0.36 oz.) is a new palette that really feels like it straddles the traditional colors of spring and summer, so it actually seemed like a very well-timed release. It included six matte eyeshadows and six shimmer eyeshadows with no pressed glitters (but three pressed pigments if that’s a concern). Overall, the palette was pigmented, blendable, and easy to use with a few shades being more semi-opaque or a touch harder to blend.

Lace Up
Lace Up is a light, peachy gold with strong, warm undertones and faint pink pearl. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that was easy to work with on bare skin. It lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Fringed
Fringed is a light-medium, golden pewter with warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic sheen. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that was best applied with a fingertip or a dampened brush to get even coverage and minimal (to no) fallout. The texture was lightly emollient to the touch, more loosely-pressed but not dry. It lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Macaroon
Macaroon is a brighter, medium lavender with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was somewhat powdery, though more substantial, so it managed to retain most of its opacity when applied and blended out on bare skin. This shade showed signs of fading after seven and a half hours of wear.

Eyelet
Eyelet is a medium, orange-coral with warmer undertones and a matte finish. It had opaque color coverage in a single layer, while the texture was slightly thinner and stiffer, so it could have been more blendable. There was a little bit of fallout during application, too, and I found it was more forgiving of texture when used with an eyeshadow primer. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing." The way the Pressed Pigments differ is that they're not intended for usage on the immediate eye area.
The majority of the shades are semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, blend out fairly well, and can sometimes be a bit drier/more powdery compared to typical matte shades. They often wear eight to nine hours on me before fading, but many shades in the Pressed Pigment family leave some staining behind.

She’s so very sweet and lovely! I’d definitely wear this palette for our warm into hot season. I only spotted one shade that didn’t impress me, Fringed. Otherwise, I love it!
This is a much better quality palette than I anticipated, which is great for all of those who liked the colour story of this palette.
The shimmers were pigmented and the mattes were well done.
If this comes to Ulta I will definitely pick it up, but if not I’ll wait for a ColourPop sale. It’s a great color story for this time of year!
This actually reminds me quite a bit of the CP X Hello Kitty Snow Much Fun palette, which I have, with the addition of a rose gold. Pretty, but money saved for me!
What’s this? A CP palette with no pressed glitters, consistent quality, and mattes that go deep? Please, more of this!!
