Ruffle My Feathers

ColourPop Ruffle My Feathers Pressed Powder Highlighter ($8.00 for 0.23 oz.) is a bright, light white gold with a stronger, white base and “cooler” gold shimmer. The powder had a really smooth consistency that felt almost wet to the touch, which meant it was denser and didn’t have any powderiness in the pan (nor on the skin) but needed a moderately dense brush for best application and higher coverage. It had opaque pigmentation that could easily be adjusted to sheerer coverage by blending it out or by using a lighter touch. The highlighter wore nicely on my skin for eight and a half hours before I saw some signs of fading.

Formula Overview

$8.00/0.23 oz. - $34.78 Per Ounce

The powder highlighter is supposed to have a "high-shine" finish with "high colour intensity." In general, ColourPop's pressed highlighter powders have a smooth, moderately dense texture that was soft enough to be picked up easily by a brush but not kick up any powder in the pan. The formula was semi-opaque to opaque but easily sheered out for less shine and coverage if desired. There were a few shades within the range that emphasized my skin's natural texture slightly but most did not. The wear ranged from seven and a half hours to nine hours.

The swatches don’t look alike but, in person, I’m pretty sure Thunderstruck is similar to this one πŸ™‚ I’m just giving the heads up here instead of submitting the dupe for swatches that don’t look similar at all!

Looking at the pan, I didn’t think I would like this at all, but it’s really pretty! I think even my ghostly pale self could pull it off! (Not that it ever stops me from buying fun highlighters, but still.)

I placed an order of 10 of the super shocks shadows while on the 30% sale. Awww just love them! And a few powder ones also. So, so pretty and different. And cheap!
