ColourPop Prenup Super Shock Cheek Review & Swatches
Prenup
ColourPop Prenup Super Shock Cheek ($8.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a medium pink with subtle, neutral-to-cool undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-sheer, buildable pigmentation applied with fingertips and sheer, buildable pigmentation applied with a stippling brush. It was less pigmented compared to most of the Super Shock blushes, which are often fairly pigmented when applied with fingertips. The consistency indented when I pushed on it with my fingertip, but it had a slightly drier feel to it overall, especially when applied to my skin. The warmth of my fingertip seemed to help push and blend it into place, whereas applying it with a brush was more challenging to spread the product outward. It stayed on well for nine and a half hours on me before fading visibly.

The formula is supposed to have "buildable" coverage and can be applied with fingertips (which will yield "higher coverage") or a brush (for sheerer coverage). It's a cream-based product that has a subtle, "wet" feel to it but never has the thickness of a true cream-based blush. It goes on with the smoothness of a cream formulation but diffuses and blends (without lifting up one's base) more like a powder product. The product sets to a powder finish, so the product won't slide around during the day. On me, the wear tends to be between eight and 10 hours. Most shades have medium, buildable pigmentation with some being semi-opaque to opaque on occasion. They are typically blendable, easy to use, and long-wearing.

Thanks reviewing the OG SSC line up. In the rush for NEW, s.t. we overlook the tried and true.
If I didn’t already have a few pink blushes that I very much enjoy using, I would perhaps try this one out. It could actually work out for me during winter, I think. But, I do own LG Pink Buttercream, which is a perfect pink on my skintone.
I find it’s a really good pink for my skintone – I’m fair and mostly neutral but lean cool just a tinge. I blend this with my fingers for a sheer look. One of the better Coloupop blushes for me.
