ColourPop My Perch or Yours Blush & Lite Stix Duo Review & Swatches
My Perch or Yours
ColourPop My Perch or Yours Blush Stix and Lite Stix Duo ($14.00 for oz.) features two new shades: a warm pink blush paired with a pale pink with gold shimmer highlighter. The blush performed beautifully with buildable coverage, as described, easy application, and great wear, while the highlighter applied well and lasted for over eight hours, it was a bit sheerer and harder to build up compared to most shades I’ve tried in the formula.

Aviary
Aviary is a brighter, medium-dark pink with warm undertones and a natural sheen. It appeared warmer when applied at medium or heavier coverage, but when I sheered it out, it had a cooler tone to it (though I’d call it slightly warm still!). It had buildable coverage when applied with a brush or fingertips and more opaque coverage applied directly from the tube, as marketed. The texture was lightly creamy, spreadable, and emollient without being so wet that it lifted up base products or went on unevenly. It wore well for nine and a half hours before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview
$8.00/0.33 oz. - $24.24 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to "blend effortlessly" with a "natural, skin-like finish" that can be layered or applied on bare skin. The brand recommends applying directly from the tube for heavier coverage and using a brush to pick up product for less coverage, though the coverage "easily builds colour to your heart's desire." They dry down to a semi-set finish--lightly dewy, definitely "natural, skin-like" in appearance, but not overly tacky or really wet-looking. I haven't found that they migrate or move around much, so the formula is still longer-wearing at seven to nine hours with minimal movement. They have applied well and worn well over foundation thus far, too. They are not transfer-proof but are transfer-resistant; they won't smear around with an inadvertent touch but aren't fully locked down.
The pigmentation varied a bit from shade to shade, but most shades were semi-opaque to fully opaque when applied directly from the tube in one "swipe" motion, though I think mimicking this on cheeks isn't quite as easily done as compared to my arm. I preferred picking up product on my fingertip, patting on the apple of my cheek and diffusing upward and outward, then using a clean fingertip to diffuse and soften the edges as needed. I appreciated that even the deeper hues didn't seem to "sink" into my pores and were as easy to apply and blend out as very light, more my-skin-but-better (literally, my skin!) hues. I would describe the formula was buildable from semi-sheer to medium with semi-opaque coverage possible, but there's enough slip in the formula that it starts to sheer out noticeably even when applied more heavily.
The consistency was lightly emollient, lightweight, and thin with good spreadability and movement; it didn't lift up base products but still worked well over bare skin. I didn't experience it lifting up or creating patchiness over time on top of foundation, even when I set the foundation initially, but I would recommend (same as I would for most cream-based cheek formulas!) to pair with a less-matte foundation for optimal results (the dewy finish plays well with a more skin-like base).
Oh, the caps have the names of the products, but the rest of the tube doesn't, so if you have more than one open, take care in getting the right lid back on!

Flycatcher
Flycatcher is a pale pink base with warmer undertones and fine, golden shimmer throughout. It had sheer to semi-sheer coverage applied with a brush or fingertips and more medium to semi-opaque coverage applied directly from the tube, but it was less buildable and less pigmented compared to most shades in the range. The texture was lightly emollient without being too slippery, so it spread easily over bare skin as well as over base products (without lifting them up) and went on evenly. It stayed on well for nine hours before starting to fade/move slightly.

I received mine a couple of days ago and they are really, very pretty. I think this entire collection is super lovely.
I think these are gorgeous, Aviary is such a soft beautiful shade and it’s good to know that it rated the same on the dupe list as a Tom Ford blush stick ($55US vs $8)….
I liked Flycatcher as well – quite subtle.
A bargain…..
goodness, both of those are stunning colors, and i don’t have anything like them yet. i really like flycatcher in particular—most of the pink highlighters i’ve seen tend to run more cool or rose gold, so to me it’s very unique.
I havent noticed this line til now, so pretty! I’m all about speed now so I’m going to look into these for sure
Chiming in just to add to the “I have this and it’s beautiful” song
No, really, I love Flycatcher. I’ve been looking for a pink like this for some time.
What a lovely duo! I actually love it more than I love TF Megeve, which was on my short list. It may still be, but I believe I would enjoy using this duo even more, as these Stix “set” more.
I absolutely love Aviary. I have been wearing it every day since I got it (a couple weeks or so)… which is saying a lot because I’ve never ventured into cream blush before this. CP has converted me to a cream blush user! It lasts through an entire work day and can go into the evening as well (I’ve worn it up to 11 hours and it still looks as pretty as it did at initial application for me) – plus the shade is just perfect for an every day kind of blush. The Lite Stix in Flycatcher is nice, I love the shade, but it doesn’t seem as long lasting as the blush and only looks good for a couple hours before it looks like I didn’t apply anything at all. If the longevity was better on my skin I’d love this one too.
The wear on the formula is SO impressive!! I’m thrilled to hear that’s the case for others, too.
