ColourPop High Tide Eyeshadow Palette Review & Swatches
High Tide
ColourPop High Tide 9-Pan Pressed Powder Palette ($14.00 for 0.32 oz.) is an aqua and teal-themed color story that included six matte shades (or mostly matte shades!) and three shimmer shades. All nine shades were semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, fairly blendable, and easy enough to work with.

Just a Splash
Just a Splash is pale, greenish-aqua with warm undertones and flecks of pink sparkle over a matte finish. The sparkles did not translate much into the look, but they contributed to noticeable fallout during application. It had mostly opaque pigmentation that was more prone to sheering out due to the moderately powdery texture. This shade lasted decently for seven hours before fading visibly.

Formula Overview

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

It had was richly pigmented with a smooth, blendable texture that had some substance to it, so while there was some powderiness in the pan, it wasn’t prone to sheering out during application. It wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Flora
Flora is a dusty, light bluish-aqua with cool undertones and a matte finish. The texture was somewhat powdery, so I would take care for fallout, but the pigmentation was opaque and the product itself blended out well. It stayed on nicely for seven and a half hours before fading visibly.

Mussel Beach
Mussel Beach has a blackened-brown base with lighter, green-to-blue shifting shimmer. The texture was more emollient, which helped it apply better with a fingertip or a dampened brush. I also would recommend pressing it into place and going in with a lighter hand to blend it out or else it tended to get pushed around a bit. It had nearly opaque color coverage that lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

New Wave is a brighter, medium teal with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable color coverage that applied evenly to bare skin and blended out well. The texture was somewhat powdery, which contributed to its sheerness, but it had minimal fallout. This shade showed signs of fading after eight hours of wear.

Lunar
Lunar is a deep teal with subtle, cool undertones and a mostly matte finish. It had opaque color coverage paired with a slightly firmer, thinner texture, though it picked up well with a brush and retained its coverage when applied to bare skin. The edges took a little more effort to diffuse but was doable without sitting there for hours! It stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

I’m really digging this monochromatic teal/aqua moment! Very pretty for summer. Especially since this is likely yet one more year that I won’t get to be at the ocean.
I ordered this and the cherry one from their site sale. I’m a sucker for teals.
This is a really pretty palette – needless to say that I wish the shimmer/matte ratio was the other way around, but both the shimmers and mattes are of good quality.
I probably will end up buying this one since there are so many relatively unique colors and the quality is really good for the price.
Beautiful, interesting palette with good quality eye shadows (except the first one) given how difficult these colors are in their performance. and at an affordable price.
So tempted to get this if only for the Mussel Beach shade but how many shades of aqua and turquoise does a person need? You guys almost have me talked into this though, the quality is there and who does not love a mermaid look?
This is a very pretty monochromatic teal/aqua story. I’m so glad there’s no pressed glitter included.
