ColourPop Fem Rosa Her Pressed Powder Cheek Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Her
ColourPop Fem Rosa Her Pressed Powder Cheek Palette ($15.00 for 0.33 oz.) includes a highlighter, blush, and bronzer housed in a slim, cardboard palette. All three shades were pigmented, long-wearing, and fairly easy to use, though the blush was a bit harder to blend out compared to the other two (but not a challenge). I suspect that the shades themselves will not appeal to all, and the highlighter is certainly a color we have seen often enough that you may have a dupe already!
P.S. — Yes, mine arrived broken, but there was no sign of damage on the box nor was it improperly packed, so I’m not sure what happened!

Lassie
Lassie is a medium gold with warm, orange undertones and a luminous sheen. It had rich, opaque color coverage–just as it was supposed to–with a very smooth, velvety texture that was incredibly finely-milled and easy to blend out on the skin. The finish was moderately reflective, so it would be ideal for someone who likes an obvious highlighter. It wore well for eight hours on me before fading.

The powder highlighter is supposed to have a "high-shine" finish with "high colour intensity." In general, ColourPop's pressed highlighter powders have a smooth, moderately dense texture that was soft enough to be picked up easily by a brush but not kick up any powder in the pan. The formula was semi-opaque to opaque but easily sheered out for less shine and coverage if desired. There were a few shades within the range that emphasized my skin's natural texture slightly but most did not. The wear ranged from seven and a half hours to nine hours.

Mistress
Mistress is a medium-dark pink with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had intense pigmentation where a little went a long way. The consistency was soft, a little dusty, and blended out without too much effort but was not as effortless as it could have been. This shade wore well for eight and a half hours on me.

Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to go on "smoothly" and have a "natural and healthy flush" that has "long wear" and "can be layered to your desired intensity." It is a lightly to moderately powdery powder blush with semi-sheer to semi-opaque, buildable color payoff. The consistency has a drier, thinner feel and though it feels silky to the touch, I found it the type of powder blush can be tricky to blend out evenly on the skin, depending on one's skin type or base preferences. The drier the skin/base, the better the formula would blend, but any natural oils or slip caused the blush to go on unevenly and was difficult to blend out. The wear was between seven and eight hours on me on average.

Dame
Dame is a medium-dark, golden brown with warm undertones and a mostly matte finish. The consistency was a little drier compared to the other two shades, but I had no trouble blending out the bronzer on my cheeks. It had good color payoff that was buildable to opaque coverage if desired. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading slightly.

ColourPop's Pressed Powder Bronzer is supposed to have a "super velvety-soft" feel that yields a "natural tanned glow." There was no mention of coverage, but the brand's promotional swatches showed full coverage. The bronzers had a soft, silky texture that was slightly powdery in the pan but tended to apply with ease, blended out nicely, and sat well on the skin. The majority of the shades seemed to have a semi-matte to satin finish, which helped them glide on and appear more natural (in finish) on the skin. The wear ranged from eight to eight and a half hours on me.

Oooh, pretty colors! And love the rose theme too
They are nice shades!
It’s a nice set! The bronzer is too warm for me but it’s very nice all round.
It is a warmer bronzer for sure!
Not bad at all, but it isn’t making me drop everything to go and order it, either. The blush is the one thing here that I love the shade of the most, because it really does remind me of my drying pot of Cruel Intentions.
Totally know what you mean, Nancy! Good but didn’t instill any excitement!
That’s a lovely colour combination, if it suits your complexion. My only complaint is that so many highlighters, like this one, have that orangey hue which can be so unnatural looking.
Thank you, Genevieve!
Surprisingly, I don’t have any close dupes! I think this is a really pretty palette and the colours will suit a range of skin tones. I’m glad they went with a yellower gold than a light champagne beige too.
Wow! I am surprised 😀
Just curious but what’s going on here, did customer service refuse to send you an unbroken replacement palette?
I did not contact customer service, since I’m only using it a few times to review, so it was unnecessary to reach out, wait for a replacement, etc.
Ok I was a tad worried
I’ve never had anything arrive broken from Colourpop before but I ordered She and the Gimme More highlighter palette and Extra was broken when I opened the box so I notified Colourpop they sent me out another palette and Bottomless was completely shattered. It was destroyed the pigment from it was on the box all over the palette so I emailed them again and they said they had already compensated me and that there was nothing they could do.So I popped the in broken Extra into the first palette that wasn’t a mess.I ordered 2 of the pressed powder highlighters so I hope they are packing them better than they did those highlighting palettes. When I saw in your Her palette that the highlight shade was the one that was busted it made sense to me that their highlighters are very fragile and they aren’t packing them correctly. On their Instagram they were getting at ton of complaints from customers about Gimme More being broken.
I’m so sorry to hear your palettes arrived broken, Dominique! My Gimme More was fine, thankfully. I’m trying to remember if I’ve had any other CP powder products broken – I believe I have had one or two of the Super Shocks arrive where they could fall out (but they’re cream, so they can just be pressed back).
I own nothing from ColourPop, as much as I’ve been so enchanted by so many of their eyeshadows. I just do not want to order online for many reasons. But I find it ironic that a company whose products are only available online (as far as I know, anyway) has a product arrived SMASHED like that.
It happens to a lot of brands/products and is by no means an issue with online only brands – the product was packed well, so it was for lack of trying to get it to me in one piece! I receive at least a few things broken every month.
Oh, I realize that a percentage of things sent via the post will break or shatter. It just seems that a brand that is ONLY available online wouldn’t somehow be more shatter-proof, since the only way to procure the item is through the mail/delivery.
