ColourPop Fall 2019 Shadows Reviews & Swatches (Part 2 of 5)
Sincerely
ColourPop Sincerely Pressed Powder Pigment ( for oz.) is a deep magenta pink with cool, bluish undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was soft, smooth, and finely-milled without being too powdery nor too firmly pressed into the pan. The color payoff was opaque in one layer, which blended out nicely along the edges with minimal effort. It lasted well for nine hours but left a fuchsia stain behind.

Formula Overview

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing." The way the Pressed Pigments differ is that they're not intended for usage on the immediate eye area.
The majority of the shades are semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, blend out fairly well, and can sometimes be a bit drier/more powdery compared to typical matte shades. They often wear eight to nine hours on me before fading, but many shades in the Pressed Pigment family leave some staining behind.

Starchild
ColourPop Starchild Pressed Powder Pigment ( for oz.) is a brighter, medium-dark lavender with subtle, warm undertones and a sparkling, more frosted finish. It had rich color coverage, but the texture was drier, more loosely-pressed, which made it quite prone to fallout.
I also had trouble getting the product to apply evenly and stay that way without using a dampened brush or fingertip to apply it. The product stayed on nicely for eight hours but had light fallout over time (from the sparkles).

Heiress
ColourPop Heiress Pressed Powder Pigment ( for oz.) is a light-medium lavender with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage with a soft, lightly powdery texture that was slightly thin, so it was definitely a shade that benefited greatly by a primer underneath it.
The upside was that it was blendable and easy to build up without too much fallout or any tendency to sheer out. It wore well for seven and a half hours on me before fading visibly.

Tickled
ColourPop Tickled Pressed Powder Shadow ($4.50 for 0.05 oz.) is a soft, peachy beige base with flecks of pink, violet, and blue iridescent sparkle. It was previously released in the Oh La La palette, and while it seemed to have a bit more silicone in the formula, it had a loosely-pressed texture that was prone to kicking up excess product and having fallout during application.
It had semi-sheer, somewhat buildable coverage, so for those who tend to use these shades on the inner tearduct to brighten, it might be just fine. For more coverage, I’d recommend using it with a dampened brush or layering it over another shade. It lasted well for eight hours on me before fading noticeably.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

XO Baby
ColourPop XO Baby Pressed Powder Pigment ( for oz.) is a bright, medium orange with moderate, warm reddish undertones and a matte finish that had flecks of gold micro-sparkle throughout but didn’t translate onto the lid. The texture was soft, lightly powdery in the pan, but the powder applied evenly, blended out well, and wasn’t prone to sheering out or having fallout. The color coverage was opaque and stayed on well for nine hours before fading a bit.

High Society
ColourPop High Society Pressed Powder Shadow ($4.50 for 0.05 oz.) is a bright, medium orange with warm, redder undertones and lighter, warm gold shimmer that gave it a more metallic sheen. It had opaque color coverage in a single layer, while the texture was soft, more loosely-pressed so there was some excess kicked up in the pan if I wasn’t careful, and blendable. The color wore nicely for eight hours before fading noticeably.

can i just wear these as my eye look every single day forever?
Certainly you can. And without robbing a bank, too. Do it, bec if you feel that way, you’d certainly give them a lot of love. It’s so nice to have heavily dented pans. Some days i feel as if i buy more than i use, and that’s so wrong.
The only one out of this batch that I love enough to put on my WL is High Society. Such a rich AUTUMNAL orange! In a sea of spring looking shades? Nothing else up there is moving me at all. They look odd for a winter or fall collection.
I dunno, I can see that lavender-and-pink going with either a white wool coat or a chocolate wool dress.
True enough, Iris, I can definitely see that working out!
How about Louie from Yes, Please? No?
Thanks for reminding me about Louie, KJH! Not only that one, but I also have As You Wave, also by CP. Gosh, they really do dupe their own existing products over and over again, eh?
Another set of pretty good shadows, except for Tickled – which was actually quite nice.
