Crystal Clear Aquarius
ColourPop Crystal Clear Aquarius Pressed Powder Shadow Quad ($9.00 for 0.21 oz.) includes two shimmer shades (pale blue, bright blue) and two matte shades (yellowed peach, mid-tone brown). The formula was a little powdery, and it was more pronounced in practice when I worked with it on my eyes than merely swatched, but they were fairly pigmented and wore seven to eight hours on me.

Eccentric Me
Eccentric Me is a bright, ultra-light silvery blue with cooler undertones and a metallic finish. The texture was smooth, a little powdery when working with it dry, and had good adhesion to bare skin. The eyeshadow was richly pigmented and lasted well for eight hours before fading visibly.

The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Free Spirit
Free Spirit is a bright, medium blue with strong, cool undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. It had a smooth, almost cream-like texture that wasn’t overly dense , but I found that it did not want to adhere as well to bare skin with a dry brush–it had to really be pressed onto the skin (with a fingertip or a dampened brush) in order to avoid fallout and uneven coverage. The opaque color coverage stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading noticeably.

On the Contrary
On the Contrary is a medium peach with warmer, yellow undertones and a matte finish. It had rich color payoff paired with a soft, somewhat powdery texture that had a touch of fallout during application. This shade wore well for seven and a half hours before showing signs of fading.

Whenever I think of “retro” 60’s eyeshadow, these are the type of colors (along with other frosty lighter shades) instead of the rich plum and burgundy in ND’s Midi Retro Palette! My Mom and Aunts used to wear frosty blues and very plain browns back then.
Am I a bad Aquarius if I got the Taurus and Pisces ones instead? 😅 This one is pretty too, though!
I have no idea why CP ruined a perfectly beautiful cool toned, soft blue palette with the addition of those caramel and brown mattes. It would have been lovely to see a good gray and/or navy shade.
I agree. I think CP put the caramel + brown in, so the warm people…and apparently that’s most people…can warm it up and use the blues sparingly or as accents. I’d be dragging out gray for crease and navy for outer vee or liner, etc. My first thought, how do you use this? I’d probably pair the blues or the browns together for a 2 shade look. Not as intended.
Just my two cents but I love the blue and brown combos. It gets me every time another neutral palette comes out with a pop of blue. 🙂
Zoeva Aristo palette. RIP. Idk how a palette with a lot of warm neutrals and a couple of blues seems far easier than 2 and 2, bu there you go.
