Burning Desire is a medium brown with warm, yellowish undertones and a matte finish. It had rich color payoff paired with a smooth, velvety texture that was finely-milled, blendable, and soft enough to be easy to pick up and to use but didn't have fallout or dustiness in the pan. The eyeshadow stayed on well for nine and a half hours on me before fading slightly.
