Cashmere Forever

ColourPop Cashmere Forever 5-Pan Pressed Powder Palette ($10.00 for 0.15 oz.) includes three matte shades and two shimmer shades in purple/plum tones. I was quite impressed with the matte purple hues–they were quite pigmented and blendable, and these are often trickier shades to master. The shimmery lavender was rather sheer, which brought down the score of the palette a bit.

Softie

Softie is a pale lavender with cooler undertones and warmer, barely-there gold sparkle. It had semi-sheer pigmentation that didn’t build up without using a dampened brush. The texture was lightly emollient, so it wasn’t as prone to fallout as it could have been, which made it easier to work with. It wore nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

Formula Overview

$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be β€œhighly pigmented” with an β€œultra-velvety and silky” texture that is β€œlong-wearing” and β€œadheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.

The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Wanted

Wanted is a light-medium lavender with strong, cool undertones and a matte finish. The consistency was smooth, more velvety, and a touch powdery but not prone to sheering out too readily. It was richly pigmented and stayed on well for eight hours before fading visibly.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be β€œhighly pigmented” with an β€œultra-velvety and silky” texture that is β€œlong-wearing." The way the Pressed Pigments differ is that they're not intended for usage on the immediate eye area.

The majority of the shades are semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, blend out fairly well, and can sometimes be a bit drier/more powdery compared to typical matte shades. They often wear eight to nine hours on me before fading, but many shades in the Pressed Pigment family leave some staining behind.

Grafting

Grafting is a brighter, pink-berry with cool undertones and flecks of iridescent micro-sparkle over a more pearl-like finish. It had nearly opaque color payoff in a single layer, which applied fairly evenly to bare skin, but the texture was thinner and more firmly-pressed into the pan, so it required a heavier hand to pick up product on a dry brush. It lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Madison

Madison is a medium purple with cooler undertones and a matte finish. The texture was smooth, slightly powdery but blendable and yielded full color coverage in a single layer. It wore well for eight hours before showing signs of fading.

5th Ave

5th Ave is a deep plum with cooler undertones and a mostly matte finish. There was a touch of shimmer throughout, but it wasn’t visible nor did it result in fallout. The texture was soft, more firmly-pressed but not to the point where it became stiff, so it was fairly blendable on my lid. It had opaque color coverage that stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.
