Chic Happens is a muted, medium-dark mauve with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque color payoff, which was buildable to full coverage with a heavier hand or by adding just a touch more on top. The eyeshadow had a soft, smooth texture that wasn't powdery nor was it too firmly pressed in the pan. It wore well for seven and a half hours before fading on me.
