Instinct is a muted, medium-dark rosy mauve with neutral-to-cool undertones and a matte finish. This shade had a much firmer press to it, which made it hard to get the product out of it and resulted in semi-sheer coverage. It didn't blend well, and I couldn't really get the color to build-up much either, as it did not respond well to layering.
