Chocolate Brown #9 is a deeper plum with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage that was easy to build up to full coverage with a second layer. The consistency was soft, slightly powdery but wasn't prone to sheering out too readily or having fallout. It wore nicely for eight hours before showing signs of fading.
