ColourPop Aquarius Lippie Stix
ColourPop Aquarius Lippie Stix ($5.00 for 0.0357 oz.) is described as a “soft pink nude in a creme finish.” It’s a light-medium, rosy beige with warm undertones and a soft shine. The color was muted enough without being dark that it surprised me in its versatility–I felt like it could tone down a look or brighten a look. It had mostly opaque coverage with a very creamy, emollient texture with more slip than your average shade in the Lippie Stix range. It was very lightly hydrating over the four hours it lasted, but I did notice some of the color slipped into lip lines after two to three hours of wear. The thicker, creamier texture made it easier to press my lips together to smooth the color back out while wearing it, but it was worth noting. ColourPop Oh Snap (P, $7.00) is darker, cooler (85% similar). MAC Zenith (LE, $30.00) is less pigmented, cooler (85% similar). Givenchy Beige Mousseline (101) (P, $36.00) is warmer (95% similar). The color stayed on well for almost five hours, while the formula was neither drying nor hydrating over time. Propa Beauty Profits (P, $12.00) is brighter (90% similar). ColourPop RAYEzor Lippie Stix ($5.00 for 0.0357 oz.) is described as a “warm peachy nude in a matte finish.” It’s a muted, medium peachy-brown with warm undertones and a satin finish. It’s almost coral-like, though it pulls browner and doesn’t have pink tones to it. It had mostly opaque color payoff with a lightly creamy consistency that was easy enough to apply without tugging on the lips. The color wore well for four and a half hours and was neither drying nor hydrating. ColourPop Pinch (LE, $7.00) is darker, more muted (90% similar). Lippie Stix are vanilla-scented and come in twist-up tubes. Most of the finishes are not hydrating for me, but they are usually not drying either (unsurprisingly, the more matte a shade was, the more likely it was on the drying side). Note, they’re affordable because of a lower price point, but they do contain less product than your average twist-up lip product (about 0.05 to 0.07 oz.) and even less than your standard lipstick (about 0.10 to 0.12 oz.). Depending on how you look at value, it may or may not be as compelling of a budget product (e.g. it could be a good value if you rarely finish your lipsticks or are looking to try a shade you’re unsure about).

I own Aquarius and absolutely love it for everyday. It goes with everything.
It’s a really nice shade!
Hey Tiffany, do you think it needs the matching liner? I usually buy the liners. But, I’m trying to not buy so much and have other neutral lip liners.
Wow, that’s the perfect eye look to go with the lippies, Kathleen Lights and Colour Pop are killing it again! My favorite on you is Taurus. Can’t wait to see reviews/swatches of the shadows
Thank you, Katherine!
I like Aquarius the most of the three, but it looks sooo similar to Oh Snap which I have in stash.
Oh Snap is definitely similar!
Nice everyday colors!
Very true, Nicole!
Those look lovely on you Christine, I know like me nudes can be hard to pull off but these are perfect for you.
Thanks, Kate!
That does it, I’m buying Aquarius. It looks perfect for me!
Let us know how it works out for you, Carrie!
I have Aquarius, and I love it!
It’s so easy to wear.
Agreed!
Taurus isn’t my favorite shade, but I feel very compelled to get it since I am a Taurus… I have a hard time wearing yellow-toned browns though.
Hmm, maybe the lip liner might be easier to use? There is a matching lip liner for it!
Taurus looks great on you! A wonderful twist on the 90s lip trend. And my personal pick would have to be Rayezor.
Thank you so much!
My favorite one here is Rayezor! It’s been in my cart ALL month, no joke. The other two, I’m thinking Aquarius is too light for me, and Taurus is too yellow-ish. Reminds me of Photo which makes me look ill. Yet, I get away with Royally Riotous with perfect ease! Weird, eh?
Only catch to these is as you brought out above: the amount isn’t much. So I’ve only gotten them in shades that are more novelty than everyday shades. Ie; I’ve only worn Nevermind 3-4 times since buying it.
Aquarius might surprise you, though! 😉
The amount definitely makes me think twice. If it’s a good formula, then it doesn’t matter to me, and it’s still cheaper than a high-end option, but if there is say, a Maybelline option, then Maybelline would be a better value. I’ve never finished a lipstick in my life, though, so the idea of a) finishing and replacing or b) paying less and trying more appeals!
This does make sense, come to think of it. I haven’t finished up an entire lipstick in many years, like early 2000’s? ’04 or ’05? Been awhile, and I didn’t have nearly as many then.
Absolutely beautiful shades. Taurus is a really interesting color.
It is! You don’t see a lot of browns, and I like it when we do, if only for variety!
Taurus looks great. Do you think it’s too orangey for a brown? I’d love to pick the lip liner up but I’m not sure it will pair with other browns in my stash.
I don’t think so, but it just depends on how you like your browns! It’s definitely a warmer brown.
Nailing the eyes and lips Christine. Pretty! I see your lips on eBay. I see your lips in blogs that swatch but use your lips. Insure them! ?
Thank you, Joy! 🙂
A Zodiac line would be brilliant! I see no Virgo shade yet. sniff sniff
That would be cool!
Love that Taurus lippie stick and adore your eye look Christine.
Thanks so much, Genevieve!
Way to warm for this gal! I gotta hard pass here. Really nice texture and opacity though!
Makes sense 🙂
These are just really not my kinds of shades, not my kind of finish — but that’s good to know!
Totally understand 🙂
I like all three of these, but I feel like I have “close enough” dupes for all of them. Still, nice lippies, ColourPop.
Glad you have some dupes 🙂
Wow RAYEzor really suits you 😀
Thank you!
I really appreciate how you show your full face with the lipstick on! It really helps to put the lipstick in perspective. You’re the best, Christine!
Happy to help, Sofia!
Hmm…wow Rayezor is nothing like StingRaye! I thought theyd be the same..or very similar. Pretty nonetheless!
It is pretty!
I have Taurus and it has quickly worked it’s way into my daily routine. It’s a beautiful shade for brown skin women to wear everyday. I plan on buying back ups!!
Nice to hear, Chelsea! 🙂
How do you think the Rayezor lippie stix compare to Mac Kinda Sexy? Any thoughts? 🙂
Kinda Sexy is a few shades lighter, probably a little pinker overall!
