ColourPop Alchemy Super Shock Shadow
ColourPop Alchemy Super Shock Shadow ($5.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “translucent peachy tone.” It’s a light-medium, peachy-orange with warm undertones and a sparkling, glittery finish. It has a “Glitter Sheer” finish, which is nice to read, because it explains the coverage level of this particular shade well–it’s semi-sheer. It was somewhat buildable to semi-opaque coverage, but it is a shade that could be patted over another eyeshadow for a glittery finish or worn all-over the lid as a sparkling wash. I liked it near the inner tear duct for its brightening effect. It wore well for nine and a half hours before creasing slightly, and there was minimal fall out over time (but still, there was a bit). FORMULA OVERVIEW | ColourPop Super Shock Shadow ($5.00 for 0.07 oz.) is more like a cream-powder hybrid than traditional cream eyeshadow. If you touch it, the product feels more like a sponge or stiff mousse, as there is light give, but it doesn’t have the same emollient or thickness of traditional cream products. The texture is thinner and is manipulated on the skin more like a powder. The brand says that using fingertips yields the greatest pigmentation, and if you prefer, synthetic brushes, but I find synthetic brushes to work well for applying and still getting great pigmentation out of the majority of shades (typically the very glittery shades are ones where fingertips really do improve them).

I can’t wait until my no-buy is over!!! 10 hours of wear! Love seeing A+’s on here!
When’s your no-buy over, Indya?
June-frickin’-1st. Not sure I can last that long though. Might just compromise for May 15th!
I have dupes for all these already, but glad they got great scores!
Phew 🙂
They’re nice, but not unique enough for me to get them.
Totally understand that!
How do you feel Knight compares to Tom Ford’s Platinum?
Oops, I meant Vanity Fair!

I like Vanity Fair, it’s like a warmer Mixed Tape.
Yay!
Alchemy is the clear winner here, even though all 3 perform splendidly. I love the idea of having a sheer topper to other less lively eye shadows to give them a punch of fairey dust! The other 2 are duped MANY times over in my stash, however.
I’m just glad they actually called it sheer!
Do you find Alchemy do be similar to the Urban Decay glitter shadows like Cosmic? I’ve been eyeing UD Cosmic but $5 is much more reasonable for something so sheer.
The texture is less wet and has less fall out 🙂
Knight looks beautiful! I sometimes have trouble with fully matte blacks–I’ve had some weird skin conditions that’s left my eyelids a little more textured than the average college student so they’re often patchy or less pigmented within a few hours of wear. So excited to see a satin black in the ColourPop range perform well! Now I’m just debating whether or not to get this or City Color’s Black Widow!
Ooh, that is a tough decision!!
Just love Vanity Fair and your eye look Christine.
Thank you, Genevieve!
I may have to grab Knight the next time I want enough to make up a CP order. I don’t remember the name of the last black shadow I tried from the brand, but I remember struggling with it… this one just might be the thing!
Nice! I cannot waaaaaaaaaaaait to finally get my hands on some ColourPop eyeshadow…
Alchemy is so nice for the inner corner! Looks like water
I love these. I recently tried my first Colourpop Super Shock Shadow and was so impressed with the formula. I definitely plan on putting in another order for some more shadows when they restock the Dopey satin matte lip color (it sold out a second time -__-).
Is it just my iPhone or is the Vanity Fair skin swatch not here??
I wish they could come out with more glitter finishes since Alchemy seems so pretty
Just checked, the swatch is there for me!
I finally got Alchemy and Knight; haven’t used Knight yet but Alchemy is like perfect for the sheer, minimalist days where I just do brows and gloss. They seriously need to do more of this finish.
