Clionadh Duochrome Eyeshadows Reviews & Swatches (Part 1 of 3)
Toadstool
Clionadh Toadstool Duochrome Eyeshadow ($5.25 for 0.06 oz.) is a medium, reddish-brown base with green-to-gold shifting shimmer that gave it a metallic finish. It had a smooth, lightly creamy consistency that was dense but yielding, so I didn’t have any issues picking it up and the color “melted” and sat so well on bare skin. The eyeshadow had opaque color coverage that stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.

There do not appear to be any specific claims made for the brand's regular eyeshadow range, so being held to typical industry claims (as well as looking at the brand swatches), I'd expect rich pigmentation along with being blendable. The brand has an assortment of finishes, and the price point varies from finish to finish and has some variance within finish as well, but they tend to range from $6.00 CAD to $8.00 CAD, which converts to around $5.00 to $7.00 USD.
The more shimmery formulas were similar; they tended to be dense, lightly creamy, and blendable with excellent pigmentation and minimal chance of fallout. Some of the more sparkly shades felt more loosely-pressed while a few metallics were more emollient to the touch. They typically wore between eight and eight and a half hours on me before fading visibly (without primer).

Cinnabar
Clionadh Cinnabar Duochrome Eyeshadow ($5.25 for 0.06 oz.) is a brighter, medium plum with warm, coppery undertones and cooler pink and plum pearl that gave it a metallic finish. It shifted slightly between blue and violet but often looked more multidimensional with a mix of blue, violet, and orange shimmer.
The consistency was soft, smooth, and blendable without being too softly nor too firmly pressed into the pan. It had opaque color coverage that applied well to bare skin and lasted well for eight hours before fading a bit.

Sol
Clionadh Sol Duochrome Eyeshadow ($5.25 for 0.06 oz.) is a light-medium, yellowy-gold base with a green-to-golf shifting shimmer paired with a metallic finish. The texture felt soft, smooth, and creamy with some density but not to the point where it was thick or difficult to pick up with a dry brush.
It yielded nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which applied easily bare skin and blended out without issue. This shade stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

Rune
Clionadh Rune Duochrome Eyeshadow ($5.25 for 0.06 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark olive green with a grayish-taupe base with warmer, gold-green shifting shimmer. It had a subtle shift to my eye and pulled warmer, more golden at certain angles.
It had a lightly creamy consistency that was dense without being overly thick or stiff in the pan, which made it easy to apply to bare skin and blend out. The opaque color payoff lasted well for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.

Eye of Newt
Clionadh Eye of Newt Duochrome Eyeshadow ($5.25 for 0.06 oz.) is a very light, chartreuse green with strong, warm undertones and green-to-aqua metallic shimmer. The texture was soft, smooth, and blendable but was slightly more loosely-pressed compared to most of the duochrome shades but not in a way that made it any better/worse to use. It had rich color payoff that adhered evenly to bare skin and diffused well along the edges without losing its intensity. There were signs of fading visible after eight hours of wear.

Salamander is everything I would want in a peachy-orange with golden duochrome eyeshadow! This one is the winner. I also really love Sol and Rune, but have dupes for Rune and I feel like my MAC Gorgeous Gold may be too similar to Sol.
I love the Rune shade the best and I think your eye looks are stunning Christine!
