Cle de Peau #237, 238, 239 Enriched Lip Luminizers Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Golden Coral (237)
Cle de Peau Golden Coral (237) Enriched Lip Luminizer ($35.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a muted, medium coral with warm undertones and fine, gold pearl. It had semi-sheer, buildable pigmentation (up to semi-opaque) with a creamy, smooth, and moderately emollient consistency. It applied evenly but had slight color that settled into some of my lip lines, though the glossier finish made that less apparent at a normal viewing distance. The color wore well for three hours and was moisturizing.
The Enriched Lip Luminizer formula is supposed to have “sheer color” with a “soft and silky formula that melts onto lips” that is “long-lasting” and hydrating. It’s a been a long-time favorite for luminous, hydrating, and comfortable lip colors. I feel like they make my lips look pillowy–soft, slightly plumper. The coverage ranges from semi-sheer to semi-opaque, while the texture is very balmy, creamy, and emollient. The wear varies from three to five hours, depending on the intensity of the shade. I find the formula very hydrating while worn but also after the color has worn away.
P.S. — Cle de Peau sells the Enriched Lip Luminizer as a Refill only for $35, and the case retails for $25.

Dusk (238)
Cle de Peau Dusk (238) Enriched Lip Luminizer ($35.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a soft, medium pink with warm undertones and fine, barely-there gold pearl. It had semi-sheer color payoff that was buildable to medium coverage. The consistency was smooth, creamy, and balm-like as it had some substance to it but did not feel heavy. It applied evenly and smoothly across the lips, but there was a bit of color that sunk into my lip lines on my lower lip. This shade wore well for three hours and was incredibly hydrating.

Raspberry Snapple (239)
Cle de Peau Raspberry Snapple (239) Enriched Lip Luminizer ($35.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a soft, medium-dark coral-red with warmer undertones and a smattering of gold pearl. It had sheer to semi-sheer pigmentation that applied smoothly across the lips. The lipstick was creamy without being too thick or too thin, and it glided across the lips and yielded even coverage. There was very slight color that pulled into my deeper lip lines, but it wasn’t noticeable from a normal viewing distance due to the shine. I also felt like after a half hour or so, my lip lines weren’t quite as noticeable for the next two hours. This shade wore well for three and a half hours and was moisturizing.

Raspberry Snapple is adorable, both in name and appearance!
It is!
Feel like these are too sheer and uneven in coverage, but nice to hear it’s a very hydrating lipstick
Gotcha! They are sheerer for sure.
Raspberry Snapple is beautiful! And now that you’ve got me a bit addicted to *actual* raspberries, of course this calls to me, LoL! ?Just not $60 worth of beautiful or calling my name worth, sadly. Especially for a mere .07 of product that lasts only about 3-ish hours. ?
I will say, though, that the finish on these is truly lush looking!
I’m so the person who would buy the refills only for $35 and skip the packaging, haha.
I love all three. I really like Cle de peau’s lip luminizers I only own one shade but I love the shades and the formula.
Which shade do you have, Maria?
Cherry Pie. I even like the name.
Love these, I’ve only tried the concealer from this brand (excellent) and now I am sorely tempted by these, love the colors and finish.
I love the finish on these!
The raspberry one is my pick! But they all look so stunning and glowy on the lips! Wow!
I usually stick to drugstore to mid end for lip stuff (I use mostly mac, colourpop, and bite beauty for lipstick!) And go higher for primer, powder, and blush.
But iv been thinking I deserve a nice high end lipstick. One that I could use when meeting with ministers, and politicians.
Besides Rouge G’s. What are your favorite high end lip lines, Christine? ?
Hey Shannon!
I’d say… Estee Lauder Pure Color Sculpting lines (I wear the Hi-Lustres and original the most, Mattes are less my thing so I don’t reach for them), Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Color, Cle de Peau Lip Luminizers, Givenchy Le Rouge, Hourglass Girl Stylos, Tom Ford Lips & Boys…
You’re amazing Christine! Thank you SO much!
Pretty but I just feel Meh about them.
Totally understand!
These are universal shades for summer and they do look moisturising. A good product.
They would be easy to wear during summer!
I don’t know what it is about this formula, but it always looks so beautiful on the lips!
I agree – it always looks really hydrated? you know!
Wow these look beautiful!
They are!
I love the pen style lip care and colour. I still have about 10 of the Dior incarnations which doesn’t even compare to the quality of these, but were still are great product. I also was excited about Chanel’s version (thanks to Christine) and got the the line up. Although price never turns me off of a product if I love it, makes me look/feel pretty, or truly works for my skin tone (which is very difficult to match and or co-ordinate); the CdP separation of packaging and product just seems like just a customer gauge.
In Canada the packaging for the lip luminizers cost as much as the product!! Something seems off about that, is CdP telling its customer that the packaging is as expensive to produce as the product? ( I doubt it) Therefore admitting that 0.7g of product is truly over priced.
Instead of giving the customer more product to compensate the difference, they have to optically convince both items are “luxury”. They could just sell the product in the packaging, increase the amount and drop the price and sell more to increase their profits. But their parent company has to be greedy and have all or nothing customer gauge selling model. *Beauty business rant over*
I feel two ways about how Cle de Peau separates packaging… I like that I can be cheap and just buy the product because nothing about a plastic container makes me want to spend $25 or $40 or whatever on it. But I agree – by separating them, there’s a sense of nickel and diming in a way.
I think, though, that perhaps their regular customer may go through products often enough so then they don’t need to repurchase cases often, just the insides – less waste and less cost if you’re someone who goes through the same shade! I think they were around this price ($50ish) when they didn’t have refills, if I’m remembering right.
