Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Matte Revolution Lipstick & Lip Cheat Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Pillow Talk
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Matte Revolution Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, medium pink with warmer undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had medium, buildable color coverage–up to mostly opaque–with a velvety, smooth, and thin consistency that clung a bit to lips, though not in an uncomfortable, drying kind of way. I just felt like it had a tendency to emphasize my lip lines a bit as some color pulled into them.
The Matte Revolution formula is supposed to be “long-lasting, buildable [and] hydrating.” When I tested the lipstick, it stayed on well for four and a half hours and was non-drying. It was easy to apply, reapply, and to wear, but I wish it was kinder to my lip lines and was hydrating as described!

Formula Overview
$37.00/0.12 oz. - $308.33 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "long-lasting color" that's "buildable" with "glowing pigments" that give the "illusion of wider, fuller lips." Some shades are buildable while others are fairly pigmented in one stroke. The consistency was more velvety, lightweight, and thin without being clingy or drying over time. I found that some shades were flattering on, as they didn't emphasize lip texture or get into my lip lines, while other shades gravitated into my lip lines. They wore between three and five hours and were typically non-drying. There was no discernible scent or taste.

Pillow Talk
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lip Cheat Lip Liner ($22.00 for 0.04 oz.) is a dusty, medium-dark pink with a hint of mauve paired with a flat, matte finish. It had good color coverage in a single stroke, and it was nearly opaque when I used it to fill-in my lips.
The Lip Cheat formula is described as a “rich, velvety liner” that can be used all over the lips or for defining the edges of the lips that is supposed to have six-hour wear. The texture was smooth, slightly velvety, and didn’t tug too much on the lips; it was easiest and most comfortable to use as a defining pencil (used along the edges) than to color all over. When I used it all over, it had good, even coverage and while very matte, it actually made my lips appear smoother. As a standalone lip color, it wore well for six hours on me and was non-drying.

Ah, finally the famous Pillow Talk! Uh oh, I don’t have any dupes……goes on wishlist
Yeah, it was about time, I guess!
I find all of CTs lipsticks run too warm for me. It never pulls the same on my as it does on others, so I never get the look I fall in love with. Only Secret Salma hadn’t disappointed me.
Well, the upside is it seems clear that her formulas are ones to skip!
Oh wow that is the perfect MLBB color on you!
Thank you, Katie!
Funny, going in to read this review, I thought for certain that I would have had a dupe around here somewhere. But nope, none!
That aside, I do really like this shade. Especially since it has some warmth to it, I think it could be a mlbw(armer). And yet, I swear it reminds me of something I have? Or had? ?
I’m so surprised! Maybe something the Mehr family?
These are really nice colors. I’m always on the hunt for a mauve that doesn’t pull too pink or too brown on me. I don’t have any of the dupes you listed but I’m not sure this is like, a must have color.
I think it might go more mauve you than brown!
It is a very pretty colour. It would probably be a real workhorse easy to use every day and for every occasion. Still, I doubt I’ll get it as I have to order it and while I can use all types of red, the more nudeish colours are tricky for me. I might, after some months of no – low buy to fix the makeup budget go for some CT products, just for fun to see what the hype is all about. I only have one of her beach sticks and the beige nude eye pencil, I rerely reach for any of them tbh.
I could see it being an everyday shade for many! I’m not a huge fan of the Matte Revolution formula myself – like a more luminous finish 😀
I’m actually not fond of matte lips on myself. Luminosity, shimmer, glitter, glossy that’s what I really like, matte makes my lips look smaller, and I really don’t want that.
I’m just curious when it comes to hyped products, so many doesn’t live up to the hype.
The liner sounds better than the lipstick!
For some reason looks very bricky/terra-cotta to me. Similar to one of the wet n wild mega last lipsticks I have. Something cinnamon/dust stormy?
