Makeup by Mario Kiana Ultra Suede Lipstick ($24.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a rich, ruby red with cooler, blue undertones and a matte finish. It had medium color payoff that was buildable to semi-opaque coverage with a second layer. The texture felt very lightweight on my lips, but the actual lipstick was firmer and stiffer with little glide, so it tugged on my lips and wasn't the easiest to spread evenly over my lips.
This was a shade that broke at the base during application as well. The color could have applied more evenly, and the formula wasn't forgiving of imperfections/lip lines. It stayed on well for five hours, left a stain behind, and felt lightly drying over time.
