Chanel Rose Tourbillon (67) Joues Contraste Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Rose Tourbillon (67)
Chanel Rose Tourbillon (67) Joues Contraste Blush ($45.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a bright, medium-dark pink with subtle, cool undertones and a soft pearl finish.
The Joues Contraste Blush formula is supposed to have a “silky, delicate texture” with “buildable coverage” that gives a “radiant glow.” This is one of four exclusives to Chanel’s website, though it has been released before (but I don’t remember having it). It had medium, buildable coverage with a soft, silky consistency that seemed thin in then pan but worked well in practice. The shimmer in the finish became more pronounced as I buffed and blended the color onto cheeks, but it looked like a smooth, pearly sheen rather than a more textured, metallic finish. The color lasted well for eight hours on me before fading.

Formula Overview
$45.00/0.17 oz. - $264.71 Per Ounce
The Joues Contraste formula is supposed to have “buildable coverage, from natural to dramatic” with a “flattering radiance” and “silky texture.” The pigmentation ranges from semi-sheer to fully opaque, depending on technique and skin tone, but it seemed exactly as described–buildable–without having to pile it on or spend too long sheering it out. The formula has an extremely smooth, silky consistency that blends out beautifully on the skin. Most shades wear around eight hours on me.
The formula is rose-scented but the scent was largely undetectable applied (but noticeable in the compact).

I got to see this when I went to Chicago last weekend and I want it. I am hoping it will still be available in December, as I am planning to use my November beauty budget at The Sephora sale.
Oh, nice! It was in store, then, Tammy?
Oh silly me, I saw Hyperfresh, not Rose Tourbillion. The bright color confused me, lol. This one is beautiful too, maybe even prettier than Hyperfresh. I want all the bright blushes?
Very nice!
It is a very nice pop of pink!
Rose Tourbillon–an oldie but goodie! It was originally released five years ago as part of the Asian Le Blanc collection that was later picked up by Nordstrom for their Anniversary Sale. It was a very pretty and intense candy pink with a hint of sparkle. I had to use a fan brush to apply it otherwise I looked feverish. I no longer have the original as I purge makeup on a regular basis, but from your pictures, the re-release appears to be much the same as the original.
Glad to hear it seems to be similar, Eileen!
My wallet is happy, as I can skip all the Chanel Contrast Joues blushes as they have fragrance, but it’s a nice bright color
So maybe it’s a good thing they have fragrance, LOL!
This is a pretty pink. Do you plan to review the new Hyperfresh color in this line, by any chance?
It is a nice! Reminds me of spring!
Hopefully, but I really am loathe to commit as I’m sure I will end up disappointing you instead!
On the contrary, you have never disappointed me. 🙂
Pretty pop of true pink! Plus, with it having this luminosity to it, I think it may even work on my rather golden-olive skintone.
I bet it could!
Ohh, I love this colour! I’m not a fan of how crazy bold it looks, but it appears to work really well on warm skintones!
The color is pretty but it is bolder, so I can see it not working for everyone’s tastes!
This is very pretty! I wish it wasn’t exclusive to the website, that I could swatch it somewhere… I have Plum Pop and have been eyeing Wicked, which looks a hair cooler, for a while…
Tammy mentioned seeing it while she was in Chicago, so I’m wondering if some stores have them!
I have a couple of the Joues Contraste Blushes and I really like them but the ones that I have are super pigmented and I have to be careful to use a lite hand or I end up looking like a clown. I usually really buff off on my wrist and then apply. They wear really well for me also.
Happy to hear that they have stellar wear on you, Deborah!
Lovely! I’m not going to buy it, as it’s exclusive to their website, and I really feel a need to swatch the more expensive brands products.
I might get Rosy Pop instead, but I must try to organize my blushes first. Sounds fun, maybe a chore for next week.
Totally understand, Helene! Plus, it curbs impulse buying a bit, since you have to wait to see!
Holy pigmentation!
It is a brither shade!
