Chanel Misia (418) Rouge Coco Lipstick
Chanel Misia (418) Rouge Coco Lipstick ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “copper orange.” It’s a softened, medium orange with warm undertones and a soft, frosted finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage where there was visible color, but there was a translucent quality to it that would allow the natural lip color to come through. The texture was lightweight with some slip, and it glided on without tugging and distributed even coverage. It lasted for four hours on me and was somewhat hydrating. MAC Ravishingly Rich (P, $23.00) is brighter. NARS Jane (P, $32.00) is more opaque, browner. Givenchy Corail Signature (317) (P, $36.00) is brighter. Lipstick Queen Jungle Queen (P, $22.00) is redder. Sephora Collection Samba (LE, $12.50) is lighter, brighter. Givenchy Rouge d’Exception (308) (LE, $36.00) is darker. MAC Sweet Grenadine (LE, $17.00) is yellower. Marc Jacobs Beauty All the Way (122) (P, $30.00) is darker. MAC Booyah (LE, $18.00) is darker, more matte. Chanel Sari d’Eau (P, $35.00) is more shimmery. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Chanel Marie (430) Rouge Coco Lipstick ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as an “intense red pink.” It’s a brightened, medium rosy pink with soft white shimmer and a light frosted finish. It had mostly opaque coverage with some translucency, so the natural lip color will come through and may alter the way this looks, depending on what your lip color is naturally. The texture had some slip, which made it easy to apply, but it didn’t slide around too much. It lasted for four hours on me and was somewhat hydrating. Maybelline Coral Burst (740) (P, $7.49) is lighter, less shimmery. Tom Ford Beauty Matthew (LE, $32.00) is brighter. Bite Beauty Sucre (P, $24.00) is less shimmery, pinker. Gucci Beauty Hibiscus Thrill (P, $39.00) is pinker, less shimmery. NARS Kelly (P, $32.00) is less shimmery, brighter. MAC Mystical (LE, $16.00) is more muted, less shimmery. MAC Toying Around (LE, $16.00) is brighter, lighter, less shimmery. Dior Sunset (660) (LE, $34.00) is warmer. Estee Lauder Rebellious Rose (P, $30.00) is more muted. Marc Jacobs Beauty Shout (138) (LE, $30.00) is more matte, pinker. Guerlain Attrape-Coeur (171) (LE, $35.00) is pinker. Chanel Melodieuse (136) (P, $34.00) is pinker. Givenchy Rose Dentelle (203) (P, $36.00) is warmer, less shimmery. MAC Grande Dame (P, $22.00) is less glossy. Guerlain Grenade (LE, $51.00) is pinker. Burberry Rose Pink (307) (P, $30.00) is more matte. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
Chanel Arthur (440) Rouge Coco Lipstick ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “luminous red.” It’s medium-dark, orange-red with warm undertones and a subtle shimmer and luminous finish. It had mostly opaque coverage that went on evenly and smoothly, though there is still that translucent quality so it isn’t fully opaque. The texture has more slip than thickness. It was lightly hydrating and lasted for four and a half hours on me. This is the type of color that is incredibly dupable; there are so many near dupes that just vary by glossiness in the finish or being slightly more orange or redder. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Pricey, but at least the quality is there, and the colors are very pretty!
At least there’s that! 🙂
I love the eye makeup on you in the first two photos. It has a luminous quality and is just so flattering!
You aren’t loving this formula. Is it the translucent quality? The shades? Just doesn’t wow you in general?
Thanks!
It’s not that hydrating, IMO. Not drying, but it’s just not a formula that really wows me personally.
Thanks! That helps!
Very pretty. I like Marie and Arthur the best out of these. I have dupes in both of those categories. I am glad they are permanent though because my long list may get to them one day so I can try this formula out. It seems like a nice light formula for the warmer months!:)
Yay for having dupes! 🙂
I love how wearable these are! Perfect for a lippie wuss like me 🙂
🙂
I really like Marie and Arthur, but I have a dupe for both of them. If I were to get one, it would have to be Marie.
Marie is a bit more unique!
I’m glad to see these rated more highly than Olga and Cecile, as I like that Rouge Coco is creamier than Rouge Allure. I bought Jean, hoping it would be a dupe for Tom Ford’s Violet Fatale, and I’ve been quite happy with the formula and pigmentation!
Yay! Happy to hear.
Marie is really nice. I’ll be putting it on my mental wish list. I like Arthur and its finish but I’m not sure I could pull it off. For whatever reason on your lips it almost looks there is a hint of pink in it that I don’t see in the tube.
I bet you could 😉
All three colors look gorgeous on you. Misia reminds me a bit of TF Tomas.
Thank you, Alison!
Marie is divine. Love. I like Arthur, too. Misia is too orange for me.
Arthur is nice!
I have Arthur, haven’t worn it yet, but swatched it’s one of the prettiest reds I’ve ever seen!
It’s a pretty color!
Marie and Arthur looks pretty on you.. the shades are brighter in the bullet but really wearable on lips!! 🙂
Thank you, Poonam!
I love Arthur! Orange-y reds are my thing and this would be a lovely addition to my collection. I am going to have to give this one some serious thought. 🙂
It’s a pretty shade! Bright but not neon.
I love Aurthur, bought it. Wish you swatched “Julia” one of the nudes. Would be curious what everyone thought. Will swing by and swatch it this weekend.
I might buy a few more, but right now, I’ve reviewed all nine that I did buy. Sorry!
Oh my, they’re all so pretty!!! I haven’t tried this formula from Chanel, but the Rouge Coco Shine is one of my favourite formula ever, so probably those wouldn’t disappoint either.
I bet you’d like these!!
