Chanel Intrigue Glossimer Review, Photos, Swatches
Chanel Intrigue Glossimer Lipgloss
Chanel Intrigue Glossimer ($29.50 for 0.19 fl. oz.) is described as a “red-brown.” It’s a medium-dark, subdued red–it’s warm, brown-hued, and shimmer-less. MAC Pret-a-Papier is a bit redder and has lots of shimmer. Chanel Braise has shimmer and is slightly more plum. MAC Looks Like Sin is similar. MAC Whoops is brighter, more coral.
Intrigue is very comfortable to wear, because the consistency isn’t too thick or too thin, so it feels lightweight on lips but still has a cushion-y feel. The texture is non-sticky as well. This shade wore for four hours on me with semi-opaque color coverage, minimal settling into lip lines, and even color overall. It has a delightfully high-shine finish that gives lips an illusion of fullness.

What a lovely colour 😀
such a delicate but beautifully rich and mellow colour!
Looks quite similar to Chanel’s glossimer in 106 Myriade, maybe a little more brown. It’s a pretty colour nonetheless!
I have Myriade and I think it’s quite sparkly by comparison. But the shades are similar.
I like it! Ideal for me, because I’m afraid to use dark colors but as a gloss I could do it 🙂
I love this color, it must have for this fall.
This looks like a great option for those just venturing into reds/deeper shades, or for those apprehensive to wear them. It also seems like a nice option for a very conservative office look. It’s very pretty, but a bit too “tame” for my tastes/needs.
What a nice shade! It’s dark enough to be perfect for fall, but not so dark it can be frightening for some (like me!). I’m really tempted now. But I tend to like F/W makeup collections more anyway, I think those red/plum/brown shades suits me better.
(Christine, do you plan on reviewing the newest “luminous” shades of the Rouge Allure range? Even though I do hope you’ll save some time to go on a honey-moon!)
I like this a lot – it’s not too bold for me, but it’s a lovely darker color. I may have to get it!
It actually looks a lot like this Neutrogena gloss I got last year on clearance. I think the shade is Berry or something.
Beautiful gloss but the price is more than I care to pay so I’ll stick with my Nars Como and Clarins Gloss Prodige (want to get one or 2 more of those). I’m not a huge wearer of gloss so the ones I have or am planning to get will do me just fine.
Super-pretty, but MAC Looks Like Sin is my jam for this sort of color!
I have to be honest, the brownish color makes it look like blood to me. It’s a little bit squicky.
Reminds me of Korres natural purple lipgloss
It looks like a really nice lipgloss
This is stunning! I was so happy to see that it’s completely shimmer-free–a major plus in my book. Definitely coveting this one now!
I LOVE the semi-opaque coverage of these Chanel Glossimers. I’m always oohing and aahing over them, so I’m not sure why I don’t own one yet 😛
OK Christine, You know this makeup is on point! But I’ma need you to start putting the earrings info in the what Im wearing list!!! #1 the ones from the wedding #2 these #3 your collection 🙂
Love the color on you!
Christine, did Chanel remove the parabens from the new glossimers for Holiday like they did from the new Extrait de Glosses for fall?
No idea, I don’t have a box!
Mmm this looks delicious. Makes up for the disappointment of the lipsticks.
I love it already. There is no way I can buy a Chanel lip gloss, but the color is fantastic.
How does this compare to Troublant in the Extrait Gloss by Chanel? It reminds me of that shade.
Christine,is there a Chanel lipstick equivalent of this gorgeous shade?
I can’t think of one!
I’m not so sure but I’m thinking Rouge Coco ‘Venise’ would do 🙂
I picked this up and wore it for the first time today…I LOVE IT!
