Chanel Fleurie & Charmeuse Rouge Allure Lipsticks Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Chanel Fleurie (139) & Charmeuse (142) Rouge Allure Lipstick
Chanel Fleurie (139) Rouge Allure Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark pink with subtle warm undertones and a pearly finish. There’s a subtle, very fine, shimmer that runs through it and gives it a higher sheen that’s not quite a frost finish. It had mostly opaque color coverage, and the consistency was lightly creamy so the lipstick glided across the lips without tugging or dragging. When I tested it, the color lasted for four hours and was lightly hydrating. Tom Ford Beauty Paradiso (07) (LE, $49.00) is brighter. Guerlain Attrape-Coeur (171) (LE, $35.00) is also brighter. YSL Caress Pink (9) (P, $34.00) is cooler-toned, brighter. YSL Rose Neillia (33) (P, $34.00) is darker, brighter. MAC Love Beam (LE, $20.00) is slightly darker. Givenchy Rose Taffetas (201) (P, $36.00) is lighter. Buxom Mistress (LE, $21.00) is lighter, brighter, cooler-toned. Urban Decay Rush (P, $22.00) is more muted. See comparison swatches.
Charmeuse (142) Rouge Allure Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a light peachy-brown with soft, warm undertones and a pearly finish. It had semi-opaque to mostly opaque pigmentation–you can tell by how much my lip freckle gets covered. The formula was lightly creamy and glided on easily without dragging. It wore well for three and a half hours and was lightly hydrating. MAC Naked Bud (LE, $16.00) is similar. Maybelline Nude Lust (920) (P, $7.49) is lighter. Marc Jacobs Beauty Dizzy Spell (104) (P, $30.00) is warmer. MAC Close Contact (LE, $16.00) is less shimmery, lighter. See comparison swatches.

I like these! Happy Saturday! 🙂
Happy weekend, Melinda!
Fleurie looks nice. Uh-oh.
uh oh!
Fleurie looks nice!
Yay!
Hi Christine! Thanks for your great review. Is Charmeuse close to Mac Freckletone? 🙂
Freckletone is darker/more orange on me!
Good call on the TF being similar, too bad they are both LE.
Too many LEs!
Ohh, Fleurie is soooo pretty!! :-O
I may have to invest in that one, actually. That is a seriously lovely medium pink!
Charmeuse is quite a nice nude lipstick on you too, Christine! I think it’s probably a bit too orange-leaning for me, but you’re wearing it well 🙂
Thank you! 🙂
Enjoy Fleurie!
I think the Fleurie looks very pretty on you Christine, not sure about the Charmeuse though. I have a few Chanel lipsticks and I’ve found with some of the lighter ones (as pretty as they are) that after an hour or two they kinda disappear into nothingness bar a few vertical lines on my lips that the colour has settled into, which surprises me with a higher end brand. Love their Le volume mascara tho’!
That’s too bad, Denise! I hate when lip color settles into lines as it fades!
Fleurie looks gorgeous on you! I love it with the liner on your lower lash line. I am tempted by this one, but I think one of the dupes might suit me better – I’ve been eyeing Rose Neillia since you reviewed it!
It’s a sign for Rose Neillia 🙂
Fleurie is such a happy, brightening, springtime color. <3
Agreed!
Both colors look meh in the tube but they’re so pretty on you! I really like Fleurie!
Thank you!
Pretty, both of them!
Glad ya liked ’em, Rikki!
I really like them both!!but of course I got many dupes.
Phew!
These are both such great colors but I really hate the chanel lipstick formula, at least for me it’s super drying.
I find their matte one drying but the others are somewhat hydrating to neither drying nor hydrating. I don’t find Chanel to have a super hydrating formula for me, though.
Wow, I really like both of these, and I never say that about a ‘nude’ lipstick. I’m just not one for the “I have no lips” type of color. It just looks nice and natural, and I love the pink!
Not too beige/peach, so it should work! 🙂
I would so love to get the Chanel Fleurie (139) Rouge Allure Lipstick. It would be my introduction into the Chanel world. I love cool toned pinks.
Let me know if you end up splurging 🙂
Fleurie is so pretty on you! I need that one or at least one of the dupes.
Thanks, Denise!
Havent seen a nude from Chanel that I quite fancy as much as Charmeuse! Beautiful!!
Yay!!
Both of these look very nice (i’m particularly leaning towards Charmeuse), but i think they may be a bit muted for the spring. I normally like going a bit brighter and bolder on the lips in spring, and its when i like to be the most fun with my make up. I’m not so sure about this, but i may think of investing in Charmeuse, simply because i can see myself getting a lot out of it, being a colour i would wear a lot.
I love the idea of brighter lips in the spring! I think some brands embrace that idea while others for something softer all-over (which might be the approach here).
Both are subtle, classic and most flattering on you! I’m sold (but i’m sure i have something similar in my stash already…). Thanks Christine.
Thank you, Helen!
Fleurie is so cute for springtime!
Totally in agreement, Danielle!
Fleurie looks amazing! Want.
It’s a lovely shade for spring!
I want Fluerie now. Ugh!
Uh oh!
Are these 2 lovely colors limited edition?
Yes, according to the press release, this entire collection is limited edition!
Charmeuse has such a lovely gleam, i even think it would look good like on top of an occ lip tar.
I could see that!
