The Joues Contraste formula is supposed to have “buildable coverage” with a “silky texture” that adds “radiance to the cheeks.” It had semi-sheer, buildable coverage, which was opaque in two to three layers (depends on your pressure and application method). The texture was smooth, silky, thin and a smidgen dusty, but it was blendable on the skin and sat well without emphasizing the natural texture of my skin. There was noticeable shimmer, but it is fine and only sprinkled throughout, so the resulting finish was lightly luminous but not metallic or shimmery. This shade wore well for eight hours on me before fading.

I am in LOOOOOVVVEEE with this shade…..I realized that even more given that I have 5 dupes on the list…..but hey, none of them meet the shade 100% so I may just have to get this at some point 😉

What I say! (To Kate about tetrachromatism.). Got 4 dupes..Taraji is coming! Taraji is coming! Savage is on my permanent wish list. Can’t quite justify it. But this is another shade family I cannot get enough of! Niiiiice! Can I rationalize this one, based on refinement alone, or that I haven’t gotten a Chanel joues in a decade? Tres Jolie! I really ought to join that 12 step type m/u addiction group on Reddit.

Ooooh, I’m always tempted by a good quality Joues Contraste. This one; no exception. Looks a lot like the recent MAC Taraji glow which I have sitting in my shopping bag…..
+MAC: definitely cheaper
+Chanel: would maybe work better a little better for my light skin
Choosing between the two = mental torture. I hate when I am uncharacteristically indecisive

Whew – Alezane is a 90% dupe and one of my favorite blushes. Wallet saved on this one! (Why am I so attracted to these types of colors? LOL)

I like the color a lot, it has just enough red that the brown won’t go muddy on me, but I can’t have any perfume on my face, especially my super sensitive cheeks 🙁 Otherwise, they get really red, at which point, I won’t need blush anymore !

I was just window shopping on Chanel’s website looking at blush and lippies. Now this. Hmmm, perhaps meant to be. The colors are so soft and pretty on you yet not at all washed out.

I feel that Chanel has been releasing the same shades of blush over and over again. They just need to rerelease narcisse and nude and the peach one again…instead of the same bronze and coral/reds
