Chanel Éclat et Transparence Stylo Yeux Eyeliners Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Charme (887)
Chanel Charme (887) Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner ($33.00 for 0.01 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark plum with strong,w arm undertones and a satin sheen. It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which glided smoothly across my skin without skipping. The consistency was lightly creamy and had slight slip, which made it comfortable to apply on the waterline and lower lash line. It wore well for over 10 hours without fading or migrating.

Formula Overview

The Stylo Yeux formula is supposed to be a “waterproof, smudge-proof” eyeliner with a “gentle, soft” texture. I gave up on this formula bit ago, as the majority of shades I had tried had a really firm, stiff, and painful-to-use texture, but new releases have much improved!
They are much, much creamier without being too wet, so they didn’t transfer or migrate easily. The formula was easy (and not painful!) to use even on my waterline. The eyeliners lasted nine hours or more on me.

Secret (867)
Chanel Secret (867) Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner ($33.00 for 0.01 oz.) is a deep green with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was slightly drier than other shades, but it seemed to have a more velvety feel as a result and didn’t skip or drag when I tried working with it in a single, fluid motion on my lash line. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that stayed on well for 10 hours on me.

Revelation (897)
Chanel Revelation (897) Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner ($33.00 for 0.01 oz.) is a medium-dark taupe-brown with warm, golden undertones and cooler, icy silver and lavender shimmer. It had good pigmentation in one layer, though it took two for full opacity. The texture was smooth, thin, and lightly creamy without being too waxy or silicone-heavy, so it glided across my lash line comfortably but deposited even color as it went. This shade lasted for nine and a half hours on me before it started to thin.

I always love me a stylo
Really love Charme. I love the Stylo formula and they wear so well.
The shades are quite autumnal, but I love Charme the best.
The Chanel and Nordstrom sites show “Secret “ as the green one. I want the green one and don’t want to order the wrong thing. Can you help?
Secret is the green one – I am so sorry! I always photograph the labels in the order I shoot/swatch them in so I have no idea how I messed up! I’m so sorry for lacking in competence that I can’t even label things in the order I read them in… wow, a new low reached today, lol!
Are you kidding? I think you’re awesome sauce!!!
That type of error has consequences – it is absolutely horrific that I did that and put users at risk of buying the wrong product (e.g. wasting their money, time, and breaking their trust). It is unforgivable in my eyes, and it is really just a sign of how much harder I need to be working.
Thank you again for pointing it out and giving me the opportunity to correct it!
Dear Christine,
considering the amount of publishing you do, I think NASA would be ecstatic to have your accuracy rate.
Really, I think you do more than anyone can expect and you do it consistently, professionally, patiently and with good cheer.
My guess is that most of the readers of your blog are mightily impressed by your efficiency even if we do not mention it.
Since there’s really just one HE gel pencil type liner that I buy regularly, MJ Blaquer Highliner, I don’t see myself getting one of these. I do have some great dupes for Charme and Revelation.
Secret immediately brought CP’s SSS in “3” to my mind! Time to bring that beauty back out to wear.
Charme is lovely
All 3 would work for me, though Chance is a must buy. Gorgeous colours!
Charme will be mine. But I wouldn’t say no to the other two neither… Chanel does their eye pencils so well.
I pretty recently discovered the miracle that is the Marc Jacobs Highliner, the only eyeliner that does not budge on my teary, oily eyes. It even stays on my bottom waterline all day!
But now, reading about these Chanel eyeliners, I’m wondering how they compare to MJ. Not that I need anymore eyeliners—I already own six MJs—but you know how it is when you’re makeup-obsessed…I’m curious about how Stylos compare to Highliners. (Loving the shade Charme!)
The texture and overall feel of them are different than Marc Jacobs’ Highliner formula (Chanel is less creamy, less dense, less wet and less smudgeable as a result), and the pencil itself is finer to me.
Uh oh, this is very bad news for my bank account. 😉
Thanks for getting to my question so fast!
I think it really depends on your own unique skin chemistry. I can say having used both that I personally prefer the Chanel Stylo. I find it’s smoother to apply for me and reasonably impressive in the lasting department (that said, I have dry eyes and dry skin around the eyes.) I’ve also had the MJ highliners dry up and become unusable after a while, which has not happened with the Stylo, possibly because I use them up so fast! I also love the Chanel colors. I have one of the dupes for Secret — Legendary Green — and it’s gorgeous. I’m doubtful they have sample sizes of the Stylos, but maybe you could see if you could try one at a store counter to see if it agrees with your eyes!
All three of these look gorgeous.
