Chanel Ce Soir and Le Baiser Rouge Coco Lipstick Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Chanel Ce Soir Rouge Coco Lipstick
Chanel Ce Soir Rouge Coco Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted plum with pink tones, subtle warm undertones, and a natural sheen. NARS Casablanca is darker, less pink. NARS Falbala is sheerer, more shimmery. NARS Mayflower is sheerer. MAC Craving is pinker, cooler. Chanel Bel Ami is warmer, less pink. Chanel Etole is darker, warmer. See comparison swatches. The consistency was lightly creamy without being too slick or too wet, and it felt lightweight and comfortable applied–no heaviness or thickness from the creamy texture. It was fully opaque, and Ce Soir wore for five hours and was lightly hydrating during that time.
Le Baiser Rouge Coco Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a brightened, medium pink with subtle warm undertones (it seems to lean just slightly warm) and a soft, frosted finish. MAC Heart to Heart is warmer. MAC Force of Love is lighter. Chanel Enjouee is warmer, more coral. Guerlain Gourmandise is brighter, darker. See comparison swatches. The texture of Le Baiser was only somewhat creamy–it was noticeably stiffer/drier compared to Ce Soir–which I expect is from the frost content in it. It doesn’t tug or pull at lips; it’s just not as creamy. The color applied with nearly opaque color (there is a very faint outline of my lip freckle coming through, but you wouldn’t be able to tell from afar). It lasted five and a half hours, but it wasn’t hydrating (luckily, it wasn’t drying either).

Both lipsticks suit you really well!
How does Ce Soir compare to Bobbi Brown Nude Rose?
I think Ce Soir is a bit warmer!
Love both of these!!
Ditto!
Both colors are absolutely gorgeous!
Ce Soir looks so much better than I thought it would, I love it!
Lovely! I’ll have to go to Nordstrom and try both of these!
both of these are sssssooOOOO perfect. god, i wish I had more money 9__9
cores lindas esse batom é super luxo *_*
B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! I have many muted-plum colors (mostly because everything that’s slightest nude turns nude-plum on my pigmented lips), but I’ll have to try Le Baiser! Good medium pinks are hard to find! I love the slight shimmery effect as well.
The Chanel Ce Soir Rouge Coco shade looks so much darker in the tube, but it goes on lighter than expected.
I do like the Le Baiser shade though — it seems like a nice every day color.
Both seem like pretty, reliable red tones. I can see them working on many people. Though I can’t say they’re too exciting to me personally
I remember swatching both lipsticks a little while ago, personally I really didn´t like the way Ce Soir looked on my arm, a very deep brown, but I have had Mac Craving on my wish list for some time now, so maybe I should swatch it again next to Mac Craving. Personally I love Chanel Enjoue but I will have to compare side by side with Le Baiser to see which of the two I prefer 😀 .
I have Le Baiser, and I love it!
Ce soir looks better on the lips and Le Baiser in the tube
These look gorgeous on you Christine! Are they LE?
Hi Kate!
These are permanent! Whether something is LE, DC, or Perm, you can see by the LE, DC, or P designation over the image in the Glossover 🙂
