Chanel Burnt Coral (390) Joues Contraste Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Burnt Coral (390)
Chanel Burnt Coral (390) Joues Contraste Blush ($45.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a dark copper with warm, red undertones and faint gold and copper pearl. The consistency was moderately dusty, and I did not expect much out of it as a result, but it was an instance where the application was a lot better in practice. It had medium, buildable pigmentation that applied evenly to bare skin, blended out with minimal effort, and lasted for a solid eight hours.

Formula Overview

The Joues Contraste formula is supposed to have “buildable coverage, from natural to dramatic” with a “flattering radiance” and “silky texture.” The pigmentation ranges from semi-sheer to fully opaque, depending on technique and skin tone, but it seemed exactly as described–buildable–without having to pile it on or spend too long sheering it out. The formula has an extremely smooth, silky consistency that blends out beautifully on the skin. Most shades wear around eight hours on me.
The formula is rose-scented but the scent was largely undetectable applied (but noticeable in the compact).

Oh I like Burnt Coral, but I have the MAC Ambering Rose dupe so I’m passing.
It is nice to know that I have a dupe tho since this is LE.
This looks perfect for my NC50 skintone. I wasn’t sure if I was willing to shell out $45 on a Blush. I was looking for MAC Make You Mine after reading this review but it seems like it has been discontinued. I guess I’ll have to fork up the $45.
Clinique’s Fig Pop is not only much cheaper, but it has an A+ rating from Christine. A much more wallet friendly option for you Chelsea.
Another super pretty shade from Chanel this holiday season! Just got reminded by the “dupe list” that I actually have MAC Pleasure Model from last winter in a duo with Whisper Of Gilt. Which is why I didn’t bother getting the full-size version of WoG, because it is so pigmented that I only need a little bit. But Pleasure Model I forgot even having! ?
This is almost the color I burn. I’d probably go for the Clinique dupe.
A beautiful, but pricey shade. I think I would consult the dupe list if I wanted to wear this colour to get a cheaper option.
Thank you for the review Christine.
I am smitten by this shade. I bought it during a beauty event at my local Chanel counter, pairing it Tisse D’Autumne and Antique Bronze eyeshadow single. Perfect shades for fall.
