Chanel Rouge Coco Lipstick
Chanel Adrienne (402) Rouge Coco Lipstick ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as an “apricot nude.” It’s a light-medium, peach with a hint of pink and warm undertones. It had a very fine pearly sheen that gave it a more luminous finish that wasn’t too glossy. It had semi-opaque pigmentation with a lightly creamy consistency that glided on well and wore comfortably for three hours on me. ColourPop Button (P, $5.00) is more matte. Bite Beauty Leche (P, $24.00) is similar. Bite Beauty Amaretto (P, $24.00) is more matte, lighter. NARS Raquel (P, $32.00) is lighter. NARS Barbara (P, $32.00) is pinker. Givenchy Beige Plume (102) (P, $36.00) is pinker. Givenchy Beige Mousseline (101) (P, $36.00) is warmer. MAC Gotta Dash! (P, $17.00) is brighter. Edward Bess Forbidden Flower (P, $32.00) is warmer. MAC Reel Sexy (LE, $16.00) is pinker. Get comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
Chanel Antoinette (406) Rouge Coco Lipstick ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “shimmering tawny brown.” It’s a rich, copper-red with warm, rusty red tones and a fine golden shimmer. It had mostly opaque pigmentation that covered evenly and applied smoothly. The texture of the lipstick is lightly creamy with enough slip to glide on without tugging on the lips but doesn’t slide around. On me, it wore well for five hours and was lightly hydrating over time. NARS Femme Fleur (LE, $26.00) is browner. NARS Leslie (P, $32.00) is less shimmery. Kat Von D Thin Lizzy (P, $21.00) is more matte. MAC Rusty (LE, $20.00) is redder. MAC Sheer Plum (P, $16.00) is sheerer, browner. Dior Belle de Nuit (LE, $32.00) is similar. Get comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.
Chanel Jeanne (408) Rouge Coco Lipstick ($36.00 for 0.12 oz.) is described as a “deep chocolate.” It’s a dark, reddish-brown with warm undertones and a soft, glossy shine. It had semi-opaque color coverage that applied fairly evenly and didn’t feather or bleed over the four and a half hours it lasted. Bite Beauty #001 (Reformulation) (LE, $36.00) is darker. NARS Bette (P, $32.00) is darker, cooler-toned. NARS Jeanne (P, $32.00) is very similar (it is funny that they share the same name). NARS Olivia (P, $32.00) is brighter, lighter. MAC Camden Chic (LE, $16.00) is more matte. Get comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

First thing that struck me..Wow, Jeanne looks like a pretty close match for NARS Jeanne. In fact, this collection looks pretty much like dupes from the NARS Audacious line.
Isn’t it funny how that works? I couldn’t believe how closely they lined up!
Adrienne looks fab!
Christine I noticed that you have a beautiful cheek colour! You look as if you are wearing blush in the pics, I adore that colour!Any dupes? :p 🙂
Clinique Rosy Pop!
:O A lipstick with my name!
I’d consider getting it if it wasn’t so nude ;-;
Awww!
Antoinette is gorgeous! Jeanne is pretty, but gives me 90s flashbacks.
I can see that with Jeanne!
Antoinette would be my pick out of these! I really am drawn to Adrienne. But,that short wear time kills the appeal at that price. I may eventually gee a few of these once you have reviewed them all. But, with such an inconsistent formula,I have a hard time getting attached. I think that’s why I so love Nars audacious and Guerlain rouge G. Spot on..all are at least good IMO.
So very true – I’d rather a very consistent formula over one that is all over the map!
I agree re the price/weartime and inconsitency.
I just wish we had all of the NARS Audicious lipsticks here.
Oh, well, a sign that I don’t need any more lipsticks, perhaps.
No, that was the silliest thing I’ve ever wrote, we all need just one more, right 🙂
Antoinette and Jeanne look such sophisticated colors! I am dying over Adrienne though.. so pretty!
Chanel did a good job with their beiges!
Adrienne(402) and Antoinette(406) are beautiful shades.
They are!
I like Jeanne but I’m not sure I could pull it off!
You never know! 😉
Antoinette is so pretty with the gold shimmers! And Jeanne is gorgeous too, a Marsala color
I love the way the shimmers show up in Antoinette!
Do Rouge Coco lipsticks still have the rose scent?
Yes!
I have Adrienne and Vera. My wishlist for more colours in this range just keeps getting longer!!
The sample palette of 5 colours is a really great way to try out different shades from the range. It has Adrienne, Coco, Roussy, Arthur and Emilienne,
Oh, that’s awesome! Good to know the palette has those shades in it.
I love all 3! My wallet doesn’t.
It never does… lol!
What blush are you wearing?
Clinique Rosy Pop!
I love Adrianne, I think it is such a perfect pinky nude colour with a touch of glam
It is a nice color!
I’m loving the shade Antoinette! I’ve been looking for a new everyday lipstick so I’ll defy be picking this up
Excellent choice!
Nars Leslie knocks Antionette out of the ball park. I have been slowly building my collection of Nars Audacious lipsticks and they are all amazing so far!
What is your very favorite from the Audacious range, Tammy?
Right now I am obsessed with Dominique. That will change as the season does.
Love Antoinette and Jeanne – gorgeous lipsticks. Do you think that they are Marsala colours? These darker, bolder lipsticks really suit you Christine. It brings out the beautiful shade of your complexion well.
Beautiful lipsticks – I am in love.
Yes, definitely takes on Marsala! 🙂
Is Chanel Adrienne a more creamy – satiny version of Burberry Pink Apricot 301 from the Lip Velvet line? Thank you for your time.
It’s definitely a glossier, thinner, and lesser version of Pink Apricot! I don’t know that I’d say it’s creamier, because the Lip Velvet line is actually very creamy/smooth in comparison, but Chanel’s is wetter.
I wonder if there is a famous Jeanne that the NARS and Chanel lipsticks are named after! It can’t be me, since I preferred cool-toned lipsticks 😛
I do believe NARS’ named theirs after famous actresses/women!
Looks like Adrienne is the perfect nude for you – it totally matches your lip color, niiiice one! 🙂
Thanks, Mea!
Adrienne is my favorite but I really don’t need ANOTHER shade like it… so maybe I should get Antoinette instead. I love how it looks on you.
Thank you!
I love Adrienne! So flattering on you
Aw, thanks Jessica!
I like Adrienne, it is a great everyday color. Maybe too pale for my skin tone unfortunately. I do love Jeanne though and would definitely rock that color.
Hope Jeanne works for you!
I think these are too brown for me. The three of them would make for a killer ombre lip, though.
Oooh, that would be pretty!
