They’ve been steadily improving–in general, not always–their products, I think, and they have hit on some good formulas/star products in the last few years, too. I had major issues with quality with their releases in the past (particularly eyeshadow palettes).

I know I’ve purchased Nivea’s cream, which is often listed as a dupe for La Mer, for my mom (she doesn’t agree but says Nivea’s–German version–is a distant cousin and one of the better moisturizers she’s tried).
