Favorite mauve lipstick? I don’t wear much mauve, but I have a NYX lip pencil in Pecan (I think!) that is a gorgeous mauve-y colour for when the mood takes me 🙂
Favorite shimmery lip gloss formula? I haven’t tried many recently, besides Milani’s plumping lip gloss – I like it, but in hindsight I should have gone for a regular formula because I am not a fan of the tingling feel in plumping glosses
Lipstick you love but rarely wear? MAC Party Parrot, such a lovely coral-pink! I’m getting better about wearing it too.

Lipstick you love but rarely wear? MAC All Fired Up, Flat Out Fabulous, Heroine, and Lady Danger … Chanel Mademoiselle and No5 … NARS Anna … Guerlain Rouge G #21 … Laura Mercier Boudoir … Bite Beauty Virgo … Armani Kimono. There are more, but these are the ones came to mind at the moment.

I have too many mauve favorites to list! They’re all wonderful.
I don’t normally love shimmery gloss on me. The only one I’ve found that’s flattering is Lime Crime’s Cherry Candy. I do love the smell and the smoothing, nonsticky texture for sure, but for whatever reason it’s the only shimmery gloss that looks “right” on my fair skin and pigmented lips. Other things are either way too dark or wash me out and look alien-ish.
A lipstick I love is Dior’s matte lipstick formula in the shade Montaigne. It’s a wonderful clean grey. It has the nicest plush formula that’s totally opaque and matte without being dry. I think grey (and green) lipsticks good great on me, and this one is probably my favorite. But I don’t like the weird looks I get, so I only wear it for photographs.

Favorite mauve lipstick? Pat McGrath Omi MatteTrance for a warm mauve or MAC Mehr for a cooler mauve. Both are MLBB shades for me.
Favorite shimmery lip gloss formula? Gel type glosses like Fenty Gloss Bomb and PMG LUST Gloss formulas feel the most comfortable and nourishing. MAC Lipglass lasts the longest, plus I never feel the shimmer or glittery particles in it or Fenty, Pat McGrath.
Lipstick you love but rarely wear? Bite Kale and CP Getty. This is definitely not NYC or LA! I just don’t want to attract to much attention to myself while riding public transit or walking around in these parts. Phoenix Metro Area is still quite conservative and very understated when it comes to colorful cosmetics. Wearing my reds, purples and vampy shades already draws plenty of stares and even judgemental glares. They might lose their minds seeing a person rocking a deep teal hued green or teal-blue lipstick! ?
I forgot to mention CP Getty! Love it, but rarely have an occasion to wear it.

Lipstick you love but rarely wear? Unfortunately, with a stash my size, there are probably quite a few that fall into this category. I try to rotate through my stash, but it’s huge.
I will say that KVD Studded Kiss Lipstick in Poe is one, because it can give my teeth a slight greenish cast. I’ve never had another lipstick do that. I have transparent enamel that shows the yellow dentin underneath, so “whitening”/stain removal helps, but won’t cure, the issue. Poe is too pretty to completely give up, though! I just try to pick days where I won’t be talking to non-family people much. lol
Blue lipstick always makes my teeth look green, too. 🙁 The heartbreak of the blue lip.

Poe is the only blue that turns my teeth greenish. Even other navies, such as ABH Matte in Cobalt and ColourPop JV, don’t. Even teals and outright greens don’t. It’s the weirdest thing.

Favorite mauve lipstick? If MAC could either do Plumpful or Fast Play in a Satin or Matte finish, that would be. Love those color on me, hate the Amplified and Lustre finishes.
Favorite shimmery lip gloss formula? No shimmer and no lip gloss for me.
Lipstick you love but rarely wear? I love deep burgundy shades like MAC Diva and I’ll wear them to work with no worries sometimes. But there’s days I have to be up and about with no time for touch-ups… and days I have meeting with new teams… my coworkers got used to bold lipsticks, but when I start working on new projects… well… people tend to not take seriously a female computer architecture engineer with a bold lip; or are uncomfortable with my choice of lipstick. 😆
MAC should 100% launch matte versions of their best Amplified colors. The finish makes the colors feel dated when a lot of the shades are actually perfectly on trend and super flattering. Of course their Satins have never sat (hahaha) well on my lips so I wish they would do those in matte too 😉
Big brands like MAC having the same core permanent colors in different finishes makes so much sense I don’t know why it’s not done (well, they’ll look slightly different since some finishes are opaque and some sheer).

Favorite shimmery lip gloss formula? Fenty Beauty Gloss Bombs or Patrick Ta gloss are about as shimmery as I go.
Lipstick you love but rarely wear? Right now, any of my Pat McGrath lipsticks… mostly because they’re more vampy colors and I have a hard time wearing vampy lipstick in warmer weather.

Lipstick you love but rarely wear? Bobbi Brown Downtown Plum. I love the shade in the bullet but it pulls a little too brown sometimes. I wish it leaned just slightly more plum. I love the formula and it wears well. It just is the slightest bit off on my lips.
Your skin tone/coloring: Pale, warmish undertones, teal hair, blue eyes
Favorite mauve lipstick? Backtalk and Rapture are two go-tos for me, and Bite Pink Salt feels mauve on me as well.
Favorite shimmery lip gloss formula? Becca Glow Gloss or Sarah Happ Lip Slip gloss in Rose Gold.
Lipstick you love but rarely wear? L’Oreal Pink Flamingo, Besame Love’s First Kiss, CT Amazing Grace

Favorite shimmery lip gloss formula? The Colourpop glossy lips probably, I’m not a big gloss wearer but Paper Moon, Dreamaholic and Blowzy are ones I really adore.
Lipstick you love but rarely wear? Bite Amuse Bouche in Sour Cherry (my skin has to be PERFECT and that rarely happens!) and Dior Mirza Mauve, which pulls very cool rosy bronze on me but is unlike anything else I have ever owned.

Favorite mauve lipstick? I adore mauve lipstick. TF Sugar Glider is one of my favorites and I have tentative plans to pick it up during my annual lipstick buy in January. NARS Hot Kiss is also on that list, loved it. Tarte Salt Lyfe, UD Rapture, all are right in the same family and if I didn’t restrict myself to only buying lipstick once a year I would probably have them all. lol
Favorite shimmery lip gloss formula? I’m not a fan of traditional gloss, but I do like gloss hybrid lipsticks that sometimes have shimmer, like Givenchy Rouge Interdit Vinyl and Dior Addict Stellar Shine. Nars has some that look pretty in their new launch too.
Lipstick you love but rarely wear? Half my collection but especially NARS Funny Face. It’s probably my best all around lipstick but I usually wear something nude, dark, or red these days.

Lipstick you love but rarely wear? MAC Men Love Mystery – I love that orchid fuschia but it’s too bold for me for everyday
I love Men Love Mystery! When I bought it, I felt it was a bit too bold for me to wear to the office, but I wore it anyway a couple times (with a very neutral, toned-down eye look) and people complimented me. I think Men Love Mystery is quiet enough to be different without being crazy.
