Bite Beauty Toronto & Chicago Amuse Bouche Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Toronto
Bite Beauty Toronto Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a bright, medium copper with warm, orange undertones and a satin finish. It had intense color payoff that adhered well to lips with smooth, even coverage that didn’t emphasize my lip lines. The texture was lightly creamy, dense without being thick or too firm in the tube, and was comfortable to apply and to wear. It stayed on nicely for five and a half hours and was moisturizing while worn.

Formula Overview
$26.00/0.15 oz. - $173.33 Per Ounce
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is supposed to have “bold, creamy color” with “extreme moisture, soft texture, and creamy wear.” The majority of the range is very pigmented–typically opaque with one pass–with a few shades being semi-opaque but usually buildable.
The consistency is very lightly creamy to lightly creamy with some shades requiring light-medium pressure and can pull the lip a bit when gliding it across the lips, though the color doesn’t appear ragged and the bullet itself doesn’t feel stiff (while other shades applied without tugging, so check individual shade reviews!) The majority of the shades I’ve tested have been lightly hydrating to non-drying and fairly comfortable to wear for the long-haul. They have a herbal, lemony scent but no discernible taste. They wear longer than average, from four to eight hours, depending on the intensity and propensity of the shade to stain.

Chicago
Bite Beauty Chicago Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a rich, reddened plum with subtle, warm undertones and a natural sheen. It was bright but very rich, so it there was depth and some vampiness to it, but it wasn’t so dark that it became a true burgundy. The texture was smooth, lightly creamy, and denser without being heavy to wear. It had nearly opaque color payoff that adhered evenly across my lips and was comfortable to wear. It wore well for over six hours, left a fuchsia stain behind, and was hydrating over time.

I was born, raised, grew up and married “in the 6” (Toronto) so I’m disappointed that this colour is one that isn’t a shade I can wear (orange tones and I don’t get along). Otherwise, I’d be so keen to have this (if it were a true neutral or cooler toned red). Disappointing on a personal level.
Chicago is really pretty on. Even more so than it looked in the tube.
I am so glad you have it and have tried it. You and I are similar in skin tone, although I think you are fairer than I am. I love the shade so much and will have to check it out in person. I have dupes but this is such a nice formula.
Toronto looks luscious like a juicy, ripe tomato! Love these types of shades, and yet, I don’t have a single dupe for this? MAC Devoted To Chili has been on my WL ever since you reviewed it…so have a few others like it. Hmmm.
I was thinking that Chicago was right in my wheel house just based on swatches and I find that I am correct. I just love these kinds of shades and am seriously fighting going to purchase it right now, LOL!! Of course, I have dupes but still this shade in the formula is perfection.
Chicago’s a nice one, but I must have a dozen lipsticks either dead on or near that color.
I love both of these lipsticks – such glorious, vibrant shades.
