Bite Beauty Libra Amuse Bouche Lipstick Review & Swatches
Libra
Bite Beauty Libra Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a deep, chocolatly brown with warm, yellowish undertones and a satin finish. It had opaque pigmentation in a single stroke, which was as marketed, and the color applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without dragging on them. The consistency dense, lightly creamy, and had a touch of tackiness. It wore well for six hours and was moisturizing while worn.

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick ($26.00 for 0.15 oz.) is supposed to have “bold, creamy color” with “extreme moisture, soft texture, and creamy wear.” The majority of the range is very pigmented–typically opaque with one pass–with a few shades being semi-opaque but usually buildable.
The consistency is very lightly creamy to lightly creamy with some shades requiring light-medium pressure and can pull the lip a bit when gliding it across the lips, though the color doesn’t appear ragged and the bullet itself doesn’t feel stiff (while other shades applied without tugging, so check individual shade reviews!) The majority of the shades I’ve tested have been lightly hydrating to non-drying and fairly comfortable to wear for the long-haul. They have a herbal, lemony scent but no discernible taste. They wear longer than average, from four to eight hours, depending on the intensity and propensity of the shade to stain.

I was so disappointed when I saw this….THIS ugly shade for my astrological sign. I was hoping for a nice, autumnal red or just about anything but this. I’m glad it has a good rating and I have to say that it looks nicer applied than I ever would have expected but I’m pretty sure I’ll be passing on this. It’s likely to look dreadful on me.
You look stunning in these photos!! Your eye makeup is gorgeous and the lip color goes perfectly with it. Perfect fall look!
I wasn’t sure about this colour when I first heard about it but it is really nice on, as well as being a pretty unique brown. I don’t agree with their matches for the different signs, but the quality of this series has been impressive.
I have Hollywood Blvd and I’m very fond of the color, but I’m liking this deeper shade even more. Almost no real dupes — that’s disappointing.
Uh oh, I’m liking this shade a bit too much. I thought I had a dupe, but nope. Will consider….
Looks like a Tootsie Roll.
I am soooo glad that I do not have a dupe for this color because I Want it! Browns and deeper nudes are my favorite, I am so glad this received an A+!
I love this color on you 🙂
I am probably one of the few that really love this shade of brown lipstick. It is gorgeous and it goes so well with your stunning eye look Christine.
But I do agree it doesn’t gell with the Libra astrological sign.
so ugly , i feel so sad i am a libra and i was waiting for this one the whole year …….. no just no
I think this would be a perfect nude lip on darker complexions and it looks beautifully Autumnal on you Christine! The yellow undertones wouldn’t look great on me but I am happy to see that this one still has the quality that I expect from Bite. Their lipsticks are my favourite!
I think this is a stunning shade for chocolate sistas?. Sad I own three of the dupes. Christine, I think Fenty Beauty’s Unveil would also be a good dupe for Libra.
Such a true statement. It’s not a color for me but I’m sure it would look lovely on you!
I dread what they’ll do for Capricorn. The colors in this serious have been truly ugly imo. I don’t purchase much from Bite bc there color selection is usually awful. Great formula but I never like the colors they come out with. This is another disaster. Sorry no offense but for me, no!
I’m not a Libra, but I’m so happy about this shade! Its perfect for my deeper skin tone.
Its funny to see so many people getting upset or personally offended by this shade, which is silly, because will look so good on so many people.
I was thinking the same thing. I have very light skin, but this would work well with my undertones, and it’s kind of amazing on (from the swatches I’ve seen — haven’t decided to get it yet).
Watching people get upset about this reminds me of when people go ga-ga over nude peaches that so rarely look good on. Opposite ends of the spectrum, attitude-wise, but same end result; just as there are a lot of people who love peach that aren’t flattered by it, there are likely a lot of naysayers of Libra that would look good in it.
Tbh I’m surprised they didn’t pull this out for Capricorn. We usually are stuck with boring shades or brown lol
You’re so right! It hadn’t occurred to me that they’d give us a brown lipstick for Capricorn until now. ? Now I’m even more curious what they’ll give us Caps. ♑
It does seem more suitable for an earth sign, though I would suppose earth signs are probably sick of getting browns all the time.
I just realized that this color plus Portobello, Porcini, and Naturally Transformed make an almost-perfect value spectrum of yellowed browns (“almost-perfect” because there’s too large a gap between Porcini and Naturally Transformed). I already have Naturally Transformed — seriously tempted to get all the rest just because they exist. (An expensive impulse, to be sure.)
