Best Products of the Week | Vol. 347
Hope your weekend is starting off on the right note! Every Saturday, I like to share the top 10 products from the last week of reviews. It’s a nice way to highlight what reviews have been published recently. Similarly, I love reading–and I know others enjoy sharing!–their own “week in review” when it comes to what makeup/beauty products they may have used and/or enjoyed.
What was your week in review like? Copy and paste the lil’ survey below and share your answers in the comments 🙂

Your skin tone/coloring: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, s&p hair
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?Â
• EYES: One-and-done using Clinique All About Shadow in Nude Rose on lid and crease, UD 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Mushroom on lower lash line, CoverGirl Clump Crusher mascara, and for my brows, a combination of Benefit Goof Proof and Precisely My Brow, both in Grey.
• FACE: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup in Desert Beige, Lancome Effacernes Waterproof Concealer in Light Buff, MAC Sheertone Blush in Blushbaby, MAC Blot Powder.
• LIPS: MAC Velvet Teddy
What was the hero product of the week for you? Clinique All About Shadow in Nude Rose. Ok, I know this eyeshadow got an abysmal rating on Temptalia, and on bare skin it certainly deserves that rating, but when applied over NYX Proof It Waterproof Eyeshadow Primer with my finger, and then using a Sigma E25 brush to blend out, it works very nicely and lasts all day until I wash it off. It’s a subtle shade, but I love the way it brings out my green eyes. Despite the poor rating, it has become one of my favorite eyeshadows these days. How weird…I never thought I’d say that about a Clinique eyeshadow!Â
Any products you want to use next week? I want to keep rotating lipsticks, specifically MAC Yash, Cherish, and Honeylove; UD Depends on Traffic; and Huda Anniversary. Perfume-wise, I plan to use Gucci Bloom Acqua di Fiori.
Your skin tone/coloring: pale, cool
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: Simple eye look with Clinique Duo in Neutral Territory (ivory and olive/bronze shadows) – the ivory shade all over the lid and the green/bronze on outer third and into crease with Marc Jacobs O-Vert to line; Becca/Smashbox Under-Eye Brightening Concealer, MAC Glowplay blush – Rosy Does It and MAC Craving on lips. My mask sort of rubbed in the Craving so that when I took it off, my lips looked so nice and natural – very much MLBB.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Believe it or not, Ouai leave in conditioner spray. It promises to fight frizz and it really worked for me yesterday – the heat and humidity were insane and I had to be out of doors and my hair behaved wonderfully – I was really both pleased and surprised.
Any products you want to use next week?: Stila Eyes Are the Window Spirit palette and also (anyone else remember this?) NARS’s Narsissist Dual Intensity eyeshadow palette. I really should also pull out and use my Pat McGrath Bronze Ambition palette….I wanted a really lush gold eyeshadow yesterday and totally forgot about the wonderful gold shadows in this palette. I need to use it more.
Your skin tone/colouring: Porcelain, with pink undertones
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: Last Wednesday, I went to the funeral of an elderly cousin and I wanted a more subdued eye look. I turned to my trusty Naked 1 – Sin, Toasted, Half Baked and Smog. Although I used primer, the eyeshadows stayed where they were put the whole day and looked lovely. I paired it with Maybelline’s Spice for Me lipstick.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: Flower Beauty’s Skin Illusion foundation.
Any products you want to use next week?: More of my Shiseido lipsticks.
Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name (blue-green eyes, dark hair)
What was your favorite makeup look you wore this past week?: I’m wearing it right now!
Eyes: MAC Kid transition, SG x Temptalia Quintessence palette Parallax to add dimension blown out from the crease, Interstellar in crease and blown up and out, then On The Horizon palette, Midnight Courage deep crease blended into Interstellar and also lower lashline, Heart-Dog tearducts, Earthbound inner mobile lid and up like Morgan Turner does hers and inner lower lashline, Flying High on outer mobile lid blended into Earthbound, UD GOT Night King 24/7 eye pencil. My usual black upper tightliner, winged liner and Mascara.
Cheeks: PML Golden Nectar, Tarte Paaaarty blush, UD Jawbone (almost GONE ðŸ˜)
Lips: Nyx Ever SLP and MAC Cosmo Amplified Lipstick.
What was the hero product of the week for you?: With the high humidity, it has to be my MAC NW30 Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof foundation and UD All-nighter setting spray!
Any products you want to use next week?: Hmm…I’m feeling a purple mood coming my way! Also, I can hardly wait for my PML Subversive Mothership III to arrive so that I can give it a much more informed chance
That UD The Night King liner is/was just gorgeous. I managed to grab it and Lannister Gold before they were sold out. Both are so beautiful…it’s a shame they weren’t made permanent.
