ColourPop Windmill Super Shock Highlighter Review & Swatches
Windmill
ColourPop Windmill Super Shock Cheek (Highlighter) ($10.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a medium-dark, reddish-copper base with lighter golden copper pearl throughout that gave it a smooth sheen.
- Semi-opaque with brush, opaque coverage with fingertip (slightly “more” pigmented than typical)
- Emollient, wet to touch
- Quick to dry down to powder-like finish
- Blendable, easy to apply, did not lift up base products
- Long-wearing (10 hours is typical for this formula)

Formula Overview
$10.00/0.15 oz. - $66.67 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "buildable" coverage and can be applied with fingertips (which will yield "higher coverage") or a brush (for sheerer coverage). It's a cream-based product that has a subtle, "wet" feel to it but never has the thickness of a true cream-based blush.
It goes on with the smoothness of a cream formulation but diffuses and blends (without lifting up one's base) more like a powder product. The product sets to a powder finish, so the product won't slide around during the day.
On me, the wear tends to be between eight and 10 hours. Most shades have medium, buildable pigmentation with some being semi-opaque to opaque on occasion. They are typically blendable, easy to use, and long-wearing.

Awfully nice! On me (as on you, Christine) this would be a blush and a very interesting one at that!
Geesh! I must REALLY love copper blush, because I have at least 3 dupes! I’m actually wearing a copper blush today from Nars called Savage. Love the blush, hate the inference being that it’s a coppery brown blush.
First thing I thought was this looks like MUG – Ablaze! Athough on my tan skin Ablaze is more peachy-gold, not really copper. This also appears more pigmented like a blush, it’s a pretty, summery color!
I think I would count this one as a blush too – a bit too ‘warm’ for me, but I do love the subtle pearl finish on this.
I, too, have dupes… but I’m a little confused, because they look MUCH lighter on both you and me (Smashbox Rosemantic and MAC Highlight the Truth, specifically). I guess I don’t need to worry about the difference in depth, since I don’t need this one.
Meanwhile, Christine, although it’s semi-off-topic, this eye look with the blue lower lashline and pink shimmery lid is spectacularly pretty; I’ve noticed it every time. Will it show up in Looks soon, or can you link the way you did it here?
Thanks,
Emily
