Coloring: Under my name. Green eyes, s&p hair.
Favorite Look: I was pretty basic this week. EYES—Laura Mercier Caviar Stick in Burnished Bronze in crease and outer third of lower lashline. Colourpop Precision Brow Colour in Cool Cocoa, Tarte Lights Camera Lashes mascara.
FACE—Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Lancôme Effacernes Waterproof Concealer, Colourpop Mini Me Blush Stix, RCMA No Color Powder.
LIPS—Red Apple Lipstick in Audrey
Most Used Products: Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks, Colourpop Precision Brow Colour, Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Lancôme Effacernes Waterproof Concealer, RCMA No Color Powder.
Beauty Discovery: Nothing this week.
Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name.
Favorite look from the week: I pretty much used the Melt palette all week. I have done quite a variety of looks and have really been enjoying it. Probably my favorite look was Bold in the transition, Profess over the mobile lid and then Game Changer in the spotlight placement. I also really liked the combination of 2012 in the transition Rule Breaker over the outer third, Boss Lady over the mobile lid and Go Better over top of that. I always pull in a matte brow bone shade and use whatever face highlighter I have, in the inner corner.
Your most used product this week: The Melt Impulsive palette.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): Nothing
Your skin tone/coloring: Under my name; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes.
Favorite look from the week: I did a pretty warm coral eye with the Viseart Pro Palette 2. Cheeks were Milani Rose Powder Blush, and Fenty Gloss Bomb in Universal on my lips. The usual daily face products. I haven’t been too exciting with my makeup this week.
Your most used product this week: Viseart Pro Palette 2, BH Cosmetics Naturally Flawless Finish Foundation in Ivory + my dailies
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): Now that I’ve seen some good pictures and swatches, I see that US Naked Honey isn’t as cool and muddy and baby poop colored as I first thought. It really is a honey palette. I’m considering getting it if reviews are good.
Juvia’s Place also has a yellowish palette out called The Nomad that I am considering. It looks interesting.
That should say “Petit Pro 2.”
I giggled at “baby poop colored”. I am SO glad that the palette doesn’t meet that criteria LOL
Just checked out that Nomad palette; I don’t buy things with “travel palette” in mind, but that seriously tempts me to do so. It’s a looker, and perfect for my skintones! I’ll have to keep an eye out for reviews.
Your skin tone/coloring: light, MAC NC 15-20, med brown hair and eyes, oily skin
Favorite look from the week: Reached for my MAC singles. Soba in the crease/blend. Red Brick on the outer corner. Ricepaper on the inner half of eyelid. Sketch on bottom lashline. Wore Givenchy Black Disturbia Mascara. Chanel Bronzer Soleil Tan. Milani Petal Primavera blush. Clinique x Marimekko Pop Splash Lip Gloss in Bonfire.
Your most used product this week: Milani Petal Primavera blush plus basics/typical foundational items
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): Really enjoy the deluxe sample of the First Aid Beauty Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer I got as a Sephora Pt. Perk. It would be perfection if it contained SPF 30!
Coloring: Fair with pink undertones, green eyes, dark hair.
Favorite look: Hmmm…I enjoyed playing with Jawbreaker this week and making a soft baby blue, raspberry look with a light pink shimmer on the inner half of the lid. I was surprised that the blue and raspberry blended to make a purple color when blended, so I did the same thing two days in a row. lol
Most used product: Probably Luminous Silk foundation and Fenty Lavender setting powder.
Beauty discovery: The Retrograde highlighter…I ordered it and thanks to Ulta super fast shipping, I already got and it’s just lovely. Thank you for the review of it, Christine! I probably wouldn’t have picked it up in the sale without your thoughts and demo. :o)
Your skin tone/coloring
Currently light-medium (summer colouring) winter, see above
Favorite look from the week
I’ve been moving and puttering around the new house unpacking, so nothing glam, but enjoying simple glow-y skin with: Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer, CT Hollywood Flawless Filter highlights and Stila’s Suede Shade liquid eyeshadow in Nude Awakening (bone) + mascara, always mascara…
Your most used product this week
My simplest summer base is a combo of: Beauty Blender Bounce Foundation in 3.45N with Kosas Tinted Face Oil Foundation in Tone 3.5. The combo is dewy and light-medium coverage.
Any beauty discoveries (old-ish)
In the move we renovated much of the new home and had a large dedicated makeup vanity with LED light mirrors and massive cabinet space designed where I can (gasp!) see and properly organize everything. I found my Pat McGrath Skin Fetish Highlighter and Balm Duo (Champagne), which works much better with my lighter summery foundation duo, I can warm and swipe the stick (clear end first) over my highlight spots and then use my sponge to smooth it out and blend it with the foundation to give more glassy, natural glow than a shimmer highlight. I find this stick very difficult to incorporate in the winter when I use thicker, more full coverage foundation–it just moves the foundation around too much. 🙁
Your skin tone/coloring: Deep dark with neutral undertones
Favorite look from the week: All matte looks using my ABH soft glam.
Your most used product this week: Beauty Bakerie yellow baking powder, Maybelline Fit Me Deep setting powder, ABH soft glam, and NARS soft matte concealers (amande and cacao).
Any beauty discoveries (new or old):ABH soft glam. I am shopping my stash more (even though I indulged this month after finally having some makeup empties!
The collection of thumbnails for the Best Products of the Week is especially pleasing to look at this week.
Your skin tone/coloring: below my name!
Favorite look from the week: Yesterday I went with a light coverage powder foundation, a little bit of powder concealer around my eyes, Benefit Hulu as an eyeshadow in a diffused halo, and just a touch of Aromaleigh Flutter as a highlighting blush. It’s my favorite look because it’s as close as I’ve been to no coverage while still happy with my appearance. As recently as a year ago I would not have been able to use ANY kind of powder foundation, and light coverage would have been pointless; my skin has improved to a degree that I have a lot more options now for no-makeup looks, and I’m ❕❕❕this close❕❕❕ to being able to go entirely without makeup and still feel fine about my appearance (it’ll take another round of IPL and some more adjustments to my diet, but these are doable).
Anyway, my favorite makeup look is the one that reminded me that I’ve come a long way and made a lot of progress, and *that’s* why it’s my favorite. ?
Your most used product this week: as always, disregarding base products … Benefit Dandelion blush
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): nothing stands out in my mind; because of my recent rearrangement of lipstick, I now have an opportunity to do more organization of other makeup products (cleared some space), so I expect I’ll have some beauty rediscoveries next week.
Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green/gray/blue eyes, warm brown hair.
Favorite look from the week: I did a lavender/berry halo eye using the Kaleidos Makeup Futurism III Astro-Pink palette… the lavender shade is the most beautiful metallic shimmery shade I’ve ever seen. I used cooler tones for blush and finished with Dose of Colors Messy Bun lip gloss. It was such a pretty look.
Your most used product this week: All of my skin prep products and Physician’s Formula The Healthy Foundation
Any beauty discoveries… Kaleidos Makeup Futurism palettes are bomb! I don’t hear many people talk about them, but it was a happy whim purchase for me!
