OFRA MarchBeautyWord Highlighter Review & Swatches
MarchBeautyWord
OFRA MarchBeautyWord Highlighter ($29.00 for 0.35 oz.) is a pale, golden beige with warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic sheen. The pan is divided into four sections, and it was difficult to pick up just one shade at a time with a tapered highlighting brush–I always ended up with a little bit of the shade next to it. The two shades used in the pan are Star Island (gold) and Pillow Talk (pink), which are both part of the standalone highlighter range. As it was less feasible to use them individually (and I have reviewed the individual shades previously), I only tested this shade swirled together.
The texture was soft, smooth, and dense with a light creaminess to it that gave it some slip and prevented powderiness. It wasn’t too firmly-pressed in the pan, though, so it picked up easily with a brush and light-to-moderate touch. The powder applied evenly and blended out effortlessly on my skin for an intense, metallic glow. It just barely emphasized my skin’s natural texture when worn at higher coverage. The color stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.

Formula Overview
$29.00/0.35 oz. - $82.86 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have a "liquid to baked technology" that has "unparalleled pigment payoff" that can be used as a highlighter as well as an eyeshadow or as a blush topper." It's a very pigmented formula with a high-shine, metallic finish that will be most suitable for someone who wants an intense highlighter.
The texture was denser but not dry or difficult to work with, so it seemed to melt onto the skin the more I buffed and blended the highlighter on. They lasted between eight and nine hours on me before fading noticeably.

As pretty as this is, I think I’ll be happier with the Retrograde one I just got.
If this were an even split-pan,I would have considered it. However, I just bought the #OFRAglow Signature Palette, for $25, and 2 of the 5 shades are these two. While there may be “less” product, for those of us who have more highlighters than we can ever use up, I think it’s an awesome deal. The pans are small, but at least a smaller highlighting brush will fit, and one can still mix shades.
Whoa Nelly, that’s a gem! I was half tempted to get this, but then realized that I actually would love the 2 (Covent Garden and Bali) I did wind up ordering a bit more for my skintone, and because both could easily be highlighting blush toppers for winter.
I never actually wear highlighter, I just bought this to support Samantha. The only other highlighter I own is Sephora brand. I do like this though! I use a teeny, not-very-dense eye brush to get in just one color, but I think I like them swirled together best!
A pretty good highlighter with delicate shades.
I’m glad to hear it reviewed well, and happy that I picked it up before it was discontinued. Samantha said it was only available through Aug 31st. I can’t believe it’s already September!
I LOVE this on my fair skin it is natural yet luminous on my skin. I’ve been wanting to try Pillow Talk for a while and now I can with this shade that also features another unique shade, Star Island. I get the perfect mix of pink y peach with both swirled together.
