Becca Topaz Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Review, Photos, Swatches
Becca Topaz Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed
Becca Topaz Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed ($38.00 for 0.28 oz.) is a rich, shimmering copper-bronze with warm, golden shimmer and a frosted finish. Too Faced Sun Bunny #1 (P) is redder-toned. Disney by Sephora Golden Sands (LE, $55.00) is darker. MAC Glorify (LE, $30.00) is darker, redder-toned. Estee Lauder Topaz Chameleon (LE, $42.00) is darker. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
The powder has a soft, smooth, almost creamy texture. It’s incredibly pigmented, so it’s something that could be worn more as a bronzer or blush on some skin tones if you don’t use a very light hand. It does, however, blend and sheer out quite a bit if you want it to, so you can get more a golden warmth/sheen that highlights the skin without producing a lot of color (which is how I wore it in photos). I found the finish of this one, despite its frostiness, to be more forgiving on the skin than others, as it didn’t feel like there was such a fine line between “glowy goodness” and accentuating pores like the other shades in the formula. On me, it wore well for eight and a half hours before turning slightly patchy.

Thanks for the review, Christine! It looks very pretty on you. Even though I found a dupe for it to use as eyeshadow (Sephora Sunday Brunch + Urban Decay Baked), I think I might get it anyway. The way you described it in the review sounds lovely and doable even for my fair skin.
My pleasure, Pteetsa! 🙂 At least there’s no immediate rush, since you were able to dupe it. Maybe wait for either Becca or Sephora to have a F&F sale!
Oh wow yes, look at the pigment! I think that I could use it as a bronzer.
I think so!
Ah, that’s such a pretty color! I love the glow that Becca’s highlighters give :).
Me too!
We darker hued beauties have been enjoying this product in various shades for awhile Christine. Glad you like it too.
Glad you like it, Erica!
That is pretty!
It is!
Trying to decide between this or Betty Loumanizer from the Balm as a highlighter (MUFE HD 178)
If you like browner undertones, I’d go Betty Lou!
Think this could look super gorgeous on darker complexions.
Agreed!
Such a pretty shade. I finally caved and snagged Moonstone, can’t wait for it to come! 🙂
Oooh! Fingers crossed it’s love at first application! 😉
I love this on you Christine!! Gorgeous! Goes on the list!! 😀
Thanks so much, Divya! 🙂
Had no idea Topaz was a shade… I guess I’ve been enjoying Opal too much to notice. 😛 This shade is gorgeous though, will definitely need to give it a try.
Haha! 😉 Yup, there are four shades in total! I’d love to see a cool-toned shade added to the range, though.
Yes, I’d love this, too!
This shade happens to be a fave of mine even though its not one I reach for often. Seeing this review I think I need to give it some love and start using it again.
Yes! You totally do, Shelley 😀
Omg it’s more gorgeous than I thought! Now it makes sense why everyone is always raving about Topaz lol. The color and sheen is perfect!
Would be fab on you!
This looks great on you! I work for sephora and this highlighter is super pigmented and lovely. Its my go to for highlighting on women of color. It adds a nice bronze glow to the skin!
Nice! Happy to hear you’ve found it to work well on deeper skin tones.
I so want to try one of these (either in pressed or liquid form!). This shade isn’t the right one for me, but if you can rock the warmth in it, it’s a beautiful shade 😉
The liquid is great if you like mixing or a subtler highlighter; pressed is better if you want something with more glow!
Wow 🙂 never thought TOPAZ would look sooo fabulous 🙂
you are looking stunning Christine 🙂 glad its permanent … i do want to pick some Becca and Bite beauty this coming sale season 😀
Thank you, Rashmi!
I am an NC50. I really like Topaz for warm looks. I use Opal for cool looks.
It’s great that both Opal and Topaz work well for your skin, Chris! Thank you for sharing!
