Anastasia Moon Jelly, Girly, Parfait Lip Glosses Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Moon Jelly
Anastasia Moon Jelly Lip Gloss ($16.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) has a translucent base–possibly gold-tinted–with iridescent blue and lavender sparkle. It looked like a sheer gloss with “semi-sheer” sparkle. It had somewhat even dispersion of the sparkle, but it could have been more evenly spread across the lips. The texture was smooth, slightly thinner than their more opaque glosses, but still on the tacky side. It wore well for four and a half hours and was hydrating. The pigmentation was the reason for the rating on this shade, as the formula is described as opaque and there was nothing that indicated this was different (at least not on the brand’s website).
The formula is described as “an opaque, high-shine lip color” that has “intense pigment” and a “precision” applicator. The pigmentation of Anastasia’s Lip Gloss formula has been what distinguishes it from a lot of ther gloss ranges, because many shades have been opaque, but two of the new shades released for summer are decidedly sheerer. It would not surprise me if this was intentional–they both have “reflect” in the description (more shimmery than most shades within the core line-up) but none were described as sheer.

Formula Overview
$16.00/0.16 oz. - $100.00 Per Ounce
It is supposed to be “opaque” with “high-shine” that’s “non-drying.” It is one of the more pigmented lipglosses out there that has a smoother, more cushion-y consistency that typically spreads well across the lips. Some shades gather in lip lines, and some shades apply streaky; it seems more common with lighter shades and milkier colors.
The formula is non-sticky initially and develops slight tackiness over time. My experience from wearing the formula is that they are often lightly to moderately hydrating and wear three to five hours. They have a vanilla scent that isn’t too overpowering nor does it linger once applied (I notice it mostly in the tube).

Girly
Anastasia Girly Lip Gloss ($16.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is a medium, orange-copper with warm, reddish undertones and pink pearl and sparkle. It had medium coverage, which wasn’t really buildable due to the gloss have a slightly thicker texture (compared to most glosses–but it did not seem heavy to me) and applying more than a layer to a layer and a half’s worth of product started to feel too thick and too heavy on. The texture was fairly smooth, but I could feel the texture of some of the larger sparkles in the formula. The gloss was lightly tacky and lasted for four and a half hours. It felt hydrating to me while worn.

Parfait
Anastasia Parfait Lip Gloss ($16.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is a brighter, medium reddish copper with warm pink and gold pearl. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied evenly across the lips and did not have any streaking. The texture was smooth, lightly tacky, and a little thicker than the average gloss but did not feel heavy or goopy to me. It wore well for five hours and was hydrating while worn.

Oh Parfait is very pretty! I wish Girly had better coverage or was more buildable, it’s a pretty color.
I know — I was hoping for more coverage from Girly!
I absolutely love the name “Moon Jelly”! That alone was enough for me to want the gloss, but after seeing the swatches, it’s actually something I’d wear so now there’s double temptation to get it.
Oh, that is awesome! Let us know if you end up trying it.
Loving Girly and Parfait! Just perfect for summertime, too. Did love Grape Jelly until I looked at the dupe list and caught sight of MAC Itty Bitty…oh my! So now Itty Bitty is the must have instead. ?
*Moon Jelly, not Grape! Duh! I feel like a dope…?
I totally agree, Nancy! Parfait screams summer 🙂
Parfait is definitely on my to buy list! Very pretty!
Parfait is perfect for summer!
Loving Parfait!
Me too, Betty!
Parfait is nice. The name always make me thing of Will Ferrel though!
It is!
Parfait is beautiful, and it looks great with your eye look!
Thanks a lot, Pami! 🙂
Girly looks a lot like my #1 fav of all time lip gloss, Urban Decay Stardust in Andromeda, which has long since been discontinued. I may need to try this out!
Parfait is so lovely and also fun. I really want it.
I’ve been missing a colour just like it, I saw that NARS Orgasm is a dupe, not the closest but still, I still have the tube of that one though it’s empty, just to remaind me I must get a nes one. Now I think I must try Parfait instead.
