Anastasia Blue Hawaii & Pink Daiquiri Lip Glosses Reviews & Swatches
Blue Hawaii
Anastasia Blue Hawaii Lip Gloss ($16.00 for 0.16 oz.) had a nearly translucent base with flecks of blue and violet sparkle. It seemed to darken and enhance my natural lip color–making it a muted, purplish-pink–with a moderate amount of sparkle/glitter. The glitter did not disperse as evenly as I expected, which was a disappointment, as the gloss had a nice consistency otherwise: fairly smooth, plush, and mostly non-sticky. I could feel the amount of sparkle in it after a couple of hours and I pressed my lips together. The gloss stayed on well for three and a half hours and was hydrating over time. Lastly, the brand described this has having the same “full-pigment” formula as other shades in the range, and it had medium coverage at best.

Formula Overview
$16.00/0.16 oz. - $100.00 Per Ounce
It is supposed to be “opaque” with “high-shine” that’s “non-drying.” It is one of the more pigmented lipglosses out there that has a smoother, more cushion-y consistency that typically spreads well across the lips. Some shades gather in lip lines, and some shades apply streaky; it seems more common with lighter shades and milkier colors.
The formula is non-sticky initially and develops slight tackiness over time. My experience from wearing the formula is that they are often lightly to moderately hydrating and wear three to five hours. They have a vanilla scent that isn’t too overpowering nor does it linger once applied (I notice it mostly in the tube).

LELimited Edition. $16.00.
Pink Daiquiri
Anastasia Pink Daiquiri Lip Gloss ($16.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a soft, light-medium pink with warm undertones and flecks of pink and silver glitter. It had semi-sheer to medium color coverage with a semi-sheer level of sparkle/shimmer. The gloss had a smooth, lightweight consistency that was mostly non-sticky and comfortable to apply and to wear. There was slight product that gathered in my lip lines, though it wasn’t noticeable from a normal viewing distance, especially as the gloss had a high-shine finish. Unfortunately, the brand described this has having “full-pigment,” which is obviously fell short on. It wore well for three and a half hours and was hydrating while worn.

I’m a little glad that these glosses got relatively low scores since I was eyeing them even though I have several sheer glosses with glitter in them. I though the Blue Hawaii shade seemed more unique, so it’s disappointing that it got the lower score out of the two.
Also, your eye look is so pretty!!
These look so uncomfortable to me, especially Blue Hawaii. I really dislike the feeling of chunky glitter on my lips. Easy pass!
Blue Hawaii is such a major letdown. Man. They just used up a fabulous name on a fairly useless product. ?
Pink Daiquiri is a beautiful shade, but one I have several dupes or close cousins of. Oh well, $ saved!
A shame on Blue Hawaii. 🙁
