About Face Sweet Disposition, Crocodile Rock, & Morning Glory Matte Fluid Eye Paints Reviews & Swatches
Sweet Disposition
About Face Sweet Disposition Matte Fluid Eye Paint ($16.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a vivid, cornflower blue with strong, cool undertones that made it veer into blue-purple territory paired with a matte finish.
- Semi-opaque coverage in one stroke (can be diffused if you use very little)
- Lightweight, fluid, spreadable
- Could have applied more evenly; best diffused with a brush after letting it soft-set for 5-10 seconds
- Long-wearing (12 hours without creasing)

Formula Overview
$16.00/0.15 oz. - $106.67 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "bold, buildable pigment" that "swipes on easily" and has a "no-budge, no-smudge finish." The liquid eyeshadow has a lightweight, fluid consistency that felt like a cross between water and gel, which ensured that the product glided over my skin, blended out evenly, but wasn't prone to settling into fine lines. Most shades were pigmented with little product required for it but a few shades were more semi-opaque.
They dry down fairly quickly, so I would recommend working one area at a time if more diffused/blended areas were desired. It would also be prudent to go in with fingertips or a fluffy brush to diffuse edges if choosing to wear the product all over the lid. Due to the pigmentation, consistency, and dry down time, they did lend themselves to eyeliner and more graphic eyeshadow shapes/lines.
Once they set, they were quite budge-proof and lasted for 12 hours without fading or creasing on me when worn as an eyeshadow and 12 hours as an eyeliner.

Crocodile Rock
About Face Crocodile Rock Matte Fluid Eye Paint ($16.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a rich, deep emerald green with strong, cool undertones and a matte finish. It’s a color that is hard to find in this format, so I did end up finding it buildable enough to make it “worth it” for the color but it was more fluid than other shades, which resulted in some sheerness.
- Medium to semi-opaque, buildable coverage
- Lightweight, slightly too fluid, spreadable
- Applied evenly and blended out decently but work one area at a time
- Long-wearing (12 hours without creasing)

As I’m looking at Sweet Disposition and Morning Glory, I’m wondering if these would be usable for winged liner? Or do they take too long to dry for that purpose?
Both look so fun for summer!
I’ve used other shades for winged liner with success!
Thank you so much for the answer to this question, miss.mercurial! Especially since I didn’t know whether literally anyone had tried using them in this manner before, yet I could so see using them as such myself.
No problem! I will say that for max opacity it works better to layer (I’m happy after a second pass) but that may also be partly to blame on the shade I’ve used this method with (New Karma, which Christine does not rate as highly as these). I’ve swatched and used the red shade (Scream of Consciousness) but not tried it as a liner. You will also want to use a liner brush rather than the applicator but I figured that was assumed already haha.
The brand continues to do very well with its matte liquid eye paints, although the teal one was a bit disappointing. I think it is a hard shade to get right in this format.
