Coloring: Under my name. Green eyes, s&p hair.
Favorite Look: EYES—Colourpop Precision Brow Colour Gel in Cool Cocoa. Primed eyes with MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre, and set with Urban Decay Foxy eyeshadow. Colourpop Lilac You a Lot eye palette (Imagine That in crease, Trainwreck on lid), Marc Jacobs Highliner in Mist Me on the outer third of my lower lash line, Lancôme Definicils mascara.
FACE—Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Lancôme Effacernes Waterproof Concealer, Clinique Cheek Pop Blush in Berry, RCMA No Color Powder, Guerlain Meteorite Pearls 01.
LIPS—Clinique Bare Pop Lipstick (part of gift with purchase when I restocked on skincare)
Most Used Products: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Lancôme Effacernes Waterproof Concealer, RCMA No Color Powder.
Beauty Discovery: Nothing this week.
Most used, well, virtually all week, inspired by this week’s reviews, Mona and Cola Pop. They suit one another, and stand up to any eye combo. (I used combos of Lorac 17 Mountain Sunset.) These could become stash stars. It’s rather interesting what become the new classics. Trying to rediscover the original HG ALP. More successful than trying to get back into pink….
Your skin tone/coloring:
Favorite look from the week: EYES — TFSI. ColourPop Lilac You a Lot Palette: Zoned out (crease and lower lid), Filtered (deep crease; lower lash line), Fluff (foiled on lid), Trainwreck (center of lid), and Iffy (outer 1/3 of lid; outer 1/3 of lower lash line). Looxi Beauty HL in Pandora (brow bone). Apocalyptic Beauty eyeshadow in Metallurgy (inner corner). UD 24/7 Eye Pencil in Perversion (upper waterline) and Plushie (lower waterline). Medusa’s Makeup Witch Lash Mascara. BROWS — ABH e/s in Love Letter. LIPS — UD x Kristen Leanne Vice Lipstick in Cloud9. CHEEKS — LORAC Color Source Buildable Blush in Ultraviolet. FACE — E.l.f. Hydrating Face Primer; BH Cosmetics Naturally Flawless Foundation in Ivory; RCMA No Color Powder; Sephora Tranquil (contour); Looxi Beauty HL in Pandora; homemade setting spray.
Your most used product this week: Tarte Tarte Maracuja Miracle Foundcealer in Fair (The BH Cosmetics foundation is used up. I need to use the Foundcealer up, as it’s been sitting neglected for a while.) + my usual dailies.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): None
Really stunning and vibrant shades of eyeshadows and lipsticks this week!
Your skin tone/coloring: Porcelain, with pink undertones.
Favorite look from the week: I have been experimenting with lots of warm toned neutrals this week – similar shades but different palettes: mostly gold on lid, light shimmery browns on lower lid and a variation in the crease – eg olive green or taupe. I used Naked 1, Huda Smokey, City Color singles, Flower Beauty, Lorac Pro Metal, Vice 2 etc. I didn’t really have a favourite as such, but it was interesting to compare the formulas and work out which had shades that really worked on me. And the answer is all of them.
I am going to do this next week too.
I paired them with different lipsticks each day – mainly from my Colour Pop Stash – LA Lady, Gallop, Foolish, Tea Thyme, Brick etc.
Your most used product this week: All my neutral leaning warm toned eye palettes
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): That I have a lot of great neutral palettes – thanks to you Christine as I have generally purchased what has been reviewed and rated by you.
Your skin tone/coloring: fair/cool skin (foundation matches: Fenty Pro Filt’r 110, Urban Decay All Nighter 2.5, NARS Natural Radiant Longwear 2.0 Mont Blanc, Kevyn Aucoin The Etherealist Light EF 02, L’Oreal True Match C3 Creamy Natural), gray eyes, brown hair with red highlights and scattered blonde/blue strands
Favorite look from the week: For the Mystery Science Theater 3000 live show Sunday I did a look inspired by the MST3K robots: Too Faced Trixie eyeshadow on the lid and Hard Candy Ginormous Lash Purple Haze mascara to represent GPC (she was made from a vacuum; I’m using her new name from the Netflix reboot, both because the live show did and because her name on the original series is an ethnic slur that several makeup companies have used as an unfortunate product name), Too Faced Villain shadow in crease for Cambot (a security camera), NARS Satellite of Love highlighting blush for Crow (he’s gold-toned, looks like a bird, and is often the funniest of the bots), and Sephora Lipstories A Little Magic lipstick for Tom Servo (he looks like a tabletop gumball machine). I also used my usual Fenty Amber Match Stix as cheek contour and 110 concealer and foundation.
Your most used product this week: UD Born to Run Ready? lipstick.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): That Ready? and KvD Russet mix really well together and make a nice shimmery burgundy.
I love that you always do themed looks for the shows you’re watching. Very cool!
Thanks! Movies, TV, and live theater tend to fire something off in my brain and inspire new looks.
Your skin tone/coloring: above with freckles, green/blue/gray eyes, warm brown hair.
Favorite look from the week: I did a very soft look with the Sigma Enchanted palette, using Innocent in my crease, Terra in my outer corner, Claystone to line my upper lash line, and Moonglade all over my lid. I also pulled in my Lorac Pro Palette 4 for a transition shade, since that seems to pair really well! Then I did a plum blush and Flower Beauty Cream Lipstick in Rouge-Berry. It turned out really pretty!
Your most used product this week: The Sigma Enchanted palette… still trying to figure out how to use it. I hope that a glitter glue helps with the more sparkly eyeshadows. Also the CoverGirl + Olay Advanced Radiance foundation.
Any beauty discoveries… The Flower Beauty Lipsticks! They’re beautiful and so affordable!
