Anastasia Carli Bybel Eyeshadow Palette Swatches
Anastasia Carli Bybel Eyeshadow Palette ($45.00 for 0.28 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette for the holidays with 14 shades. The palette launches on October 7th on Anastasia’s website and then to retailers on October 10th (view full launch details here, including more sets for the holidays). Dillard’s put the palette up for sale earlier this week (that was a boo-boo on their end!), and surprisingly, they fulfilled my order and thus, early swatches for you… I hope to get the review up by the 7th.
As a note, for those concerned about the inclusion of plastic glitter, the shades Boli (random glitter over a more metallic finish) and OA (moderate amount, smaller particle glitter) contain it. Cindy is marked as a Pressed Pigment to be used as a cheek product.
Another one??
It’s a pretty palette but the swatches aren’t super impressive. Then again, you never know. Swatches can suck and it can still be amazing on the eyes (eg Suqqu). It’s not all about pigmentation.
Nevertheless, a pass from me unless it’s a Decadence level palette. Doubtful.
Just rats about the inclusion of two shades with plastic glitter in them! Although OA looks very workable with glitter glue and cautious removal at night (swipe away from the lashline in one fell swoop!).
This palette does at least have a festive, wintry feel to it, I’ll give it that. Hopefully, it is a solid performer.
This palette is confusing to me. The plastic particles, the swatches looking very similar, and the inclusion of a blush? in the middle there. At least with the CP palettes I was able to remove the glitter shades and toss them, this looks like it would adulterate the surrounding shades.
This looks much better than the previous Anastasia Norvina offering. Much more realistic in terms of size too. Generally the swatches look good, but the inclusion of Cindy, marked as a cheek pigment is strange.
I like this colour story much better too.
I’m torn. It’s very pretty and the color combination is different. It has a soft, wintry feel to it, even though it’s mostly warmer colors. Part of me wonders if I’d use these softer shades a lot, but another part of me feels like it could be an easy everyday palette with good crease shades for me, and would still have some zing due to the pretty shimmers. I guess I’ll wait for the reviews.
Nods to cool, nice. Hope it does not have the blending problem of N2. If not duped to death, I might consider this. That much Cindy on my cheeks would make folks run for cover, so PP or not, it’d be an e/s. Although I seem personally not to have a reaction to glitter, it’s about time that beauty companies (eyeing you, sequin queen) take some environmental responsibility.
Aura and my angels looks very similar to the shades in soft glam. Although I really love the first line as a palette in its own. I don’t like having too many shades in a palette that i don’t use/like so I will probably pass on this one.
I really and truly do not understand ABH’s strategy right now. I’m also wondering if they maybe got in trouble for some “pressed pigment” eyeshadows, because otherwise it seems really odd to try to market that shade as a blush. (It’s a blush-y color, but it’s in the middle of a freaking eyeshadow palette and the pan is too small for a blush brush.)
the colors are so soft and muted they have a Nordic vibe to me. Wish Mandala was more vibrant. The cheek color is just strange and plastic glitter is a no-no, so overall an easy pass. It is pretty to look at tho!
I like it,it’s pretty. I plan on getting it. Can’t wait to see the review first. Abh fares pretty well.
ABH seems to throwing out palettes at the moment.
Looking at this, I think I have dupes for a lot of the colours and I actually only like one out of the fourteen, Jode. I do like the glitter shadow, but plastic.
I checked and have a dupe for Jode, Yay!
Now even though I’m not really interested in this palette, I look forward to the review.
I love the top row. It’s nice to see a palette that isn’t completely reds, pinks, and oranges. That being said, I probably won’t get it. I’m sure I have dupes for that top row. And apparently, there is a phobia for people who have a reaction to seeing that many circles like what is on the palette cover. I heard that while watching a favorite YouTuber.
It’s very pretty. The color story is more Spring to me. I’m getting sick of reading shade names on Influencer collab pallettes. Like reading another language! Lol. I guess I’m dating myself here. OI? Stev? Moo? I guess these are words the kids use.
They’re generally named after people/pets in her life!
thanks for explaining!
The top row is lovely, but I don’t care at all for the bottom row so this palette is a pass. Blush shade in an eye palette.. c’mon! ?
Looks like she’s marketing it that way to get around the non-eye safe pigment issue. Chances are, it stains the lid. My favorite blush shade of all time is in the ND Star palette. It’s an ok shadow but a brilliant cheek color. Suqqu cheek and some of the smaller SoniaG brushes fit in perfectly. Star has 2 other blush shades plus a few contour and bronzer shades that make it the ideal travel palette.
This shade might be a bit strongly pigmented and you’d want to go in with a light hand and translucent powder to sheer it out for cheeks.
Having said all that, barring spectacular performance, I’m not getting it, as I’ve got great dupes ?♀️
