Marc Jacobs Beauty Silver Surf (370) Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer ($28.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a light-medium silver with neutral-to-cool undertones and holographic pearl and faint, larger sparkles. It had sheer to semi-sheer color coverage in a single layer, which went on fairly evenly and had good dispersion of shimmer/sparkle. The texture was smooth, plush, and easy to spread across my lips, and it was substantial enough that I didn’t feel any of the pearl/sparkle in the gloss, but it wasn’t heavy or tacky to wear. This shade lasted well for three hours and was hydrating over time.

It is supposed to have "maximum color and brilliance" and "shine like 30 coats of lacquer." The formula has a mint scent but not much flavor from what I could detect. While the brand's general description is "maximum color," they seem to modify that with individual shade descriptions as several shades are specifically described as "opaque" and a few are noted as "sheer" with the remainder having no specific coverage descriptor (as of April/May 2020).
This seems to suggest that the rest are neither sheer nor opaque but somewhere in-between--I would lean toward "semi-opaque" to be closer to "maximum color," though I really think that's quite confusing to the customer. It would make more sense to simply describe it as a range of sheer to opaque shades or that they're medium coverage (as a whole).
The coverage ranged from semi-sheer to opaque with a fair amount of shades between medium and semi-opaque payoff in a single layer, and they do have a very high-shine finish that makes my lips look more voluminous.
The consistency was smooth, like a creamy gel as it was a bit thicker (without being heavy or tacky), and very easy to spread across my lips. It was comfortable to wear and moisturizing over time. Some shades smoothed out my lip lines, though it wasn't consistent throughout the range as a few settled into them (usually paler, milkier shades).

Marc Jacobs Beauty Get Lucky (374) Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer ($28.00 for 0.16 oz.) is a medium-dark bronze with warm, gold and copper pearl throughout. It had semi-sheer pigmentation that went on fairly evenly, and for the depth and sheerness, it only settled into my deeper lip lines. The consistency was lightweight, smooth, and plush–like a creamier gel–that was comfortable and hydrating to wear. It stayed on nicely for four hours on me.

Hi Christine, this is unrelated to this product, but I noticed that your sales header includes a MAC sale, but when I went to their website, I didn’t see any mention of it. Ahh thank you, I’m not losing my mind after all! It ended up fine, though, as it turns out MAC has a three pack of Fix+ minis for $12 in the sale area, less than half the cost of one full size for almost the same amount of product (100 v 90 ml). No sale necessary!
Silver Surf is sooo tempting, as I’d only be using it as a silvery topper, not as a standalone lip gloss. I actually think it looks very dimensional and pretty!
The other two are lovely, too. However, I’m up to my gills in dupes of both!
I got Silver Surf and really love it! The silver/white sparkle is really pretty and the formula’s great! Too bad they advertised it as maximum color when it’s sheer or semi-sheer, so got a lower score, but I love it.

These look pretty much the same to me, not a lot of pigmentation I think. Perhaps they work better as a lipstick topper.
Although I think Silver Surf is very pretty, I’m going to pass. I have CP My Pet, and I think it’s close enough. As I said on the swatches post, I was really hoping Silver Surf would be more opaque and really stand out as being silver.
Such a shame about their marketing! Silver Surf would have had a perfectly acceptable score (and you wrote about it very favorably) if it hadn’t been compared to the phrase “maximum color.” What were the thinking?
