Skin tone: Very fair with neutral undertones, grey hair and very dark brown eyes.
Favorite look: My favorite from the week was actually a sort of no makeup look but with a bold lip. I used MAC Omega in the crease and just above. I applied it lightly or sparingly just to give my eye some contour. I used a matte off white that didn’t lean too warm on the mobile lid and the brow bone. I used ColourPop liner in whatever the new navy shade is called. I didn’t wing it out as that is a chore for a heavily hooded girl like me. I used my two mascaras, as opposed to my three mascara days! I used Thrive mascara and Cover Girl Super Sizer. For my base I used the L’Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear foundation in shade 400 which is the fairest shade. The undertone is off and pulls very cool, which I would have loved back in the day but since deciding to split the difference between cool and warm since no one can agree for 5 minutes on what my undertone is, I have been using neutral shades. The next time I can go and actually see the foundation in person I will try and find a more neutral shade that isn’t too dark. I have been using the Fenty Beauty Lavender powder to set my undereye area and am still really liking that. It doesn’t seem to emphasize my fine lines and wrinkles and isn’t too dry appearing. For the remainder of my face I use Thrive Causemetics Loose Powder to set down my foundation. One of these days I am going to be brave and not set my face and see how it does. I guess back in the day we always set our face and I haven’t embraced the no setting life yet. For blush I used Ciate Summer Love which I hadn’t pulled out since returning from Europe. It was the only blush I took with me to Europe so was ready for a change when I got home but I love the formula of the Glow to Illuminate blushes and the shade Summer Love in particular. I wish that Ciate would release some more shades. Finally, I used ColourPop Blurring Lip in Alchemist. I blotted and then added a second layer because sometimes it can look a little patchy but still love the shade.
Most used products: Overall I would say the L’Oreal foundation. I am really liking it on the day to day.
New beauty discoveries: Nothing this week. I am reorganizing my makeup again for like the millionth time! I am decluttering and in general, just seeing what I have and what I haven’t used in a long while. I am then going to begin to consciously shop my stash on a weekly basis, pulling products for the week and keeping them in heavy rotation for that week.
MAC Omega is my go-to for “natural” eye/ bold lip looks, too. I’ve tried other shades to give a little depth to my eyes without looking made up, but nothing comes close to Omega. The Fenty Lavender Powder sounds interesting. I’ll look into it.
Skin Tone/Coloring: Light neutral skin tone, green eyes, salt & pepper hair
Favorite look: EYES: ABH Brow Wiz, Dior Backstage Cool Eye Palette (Ombre in crease, Lilac on lid), Chanel Stylo Yeux in Charme in upper tightline and outer lower lash line, Lancôme Definicils Mascara. FACE: Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, Laura Mercier Translucent Powder, Chanel Joues Contraste Blush in Pink Explosion, DiorSkin Nude Luminizer in Pink Glow on cheekbones. LIPS: MAC Flat Out Fabulous.
Most Used Products: ABH Brow Wiz, Estée Lauder Double Wear Makeup, Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

???? ???? ????/????????: Under my name; magenta/red hair; hazel/green eyes
???????? ???? ???? ??? ????: ???? — UD Primer Potion in Enigma. KVD Saint & Sinner Palette: Exodus (crease and swept around onto lower lid), Ashes over Immaculate (lid), Amen (brow bone), Relic (inner corner; patted onto center of lid), and Devil (lower lash line). UD 24/7 Eye Pencil in Deep End (lower waterline) and Perversion (upper waterline). Pacifica Dream Big Mascara. ???? — KVD Studded Kiss Lipstick in Solo. ?????? — Notoriously Morbid Astrology Blush (buffed well to warm up the color) with Wet n Wild MegaGlo HL in Diamond Lily. ???? — Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer; ColourPop No Filter Natural Matte Foundation in Fair 05; e.l.f. HD Powder in Sheer; Sephora Tranquil (contour); WnW Diamond Lily (applied lightly); e.l.f. Original Mist & Set.
???? ???? ???? ??????? ???? ????: CP No Filter Natural Matte Foundation; Notoriously Morbid Astrology Blush; usual dailies
??? ?????? ??????????? (??? ?? ???):
??? — Notoriously Morbid Astrology Blush. I used to think it was too bright for me, but now I’m really into the fuchsia with violet shift. I think I just needed to get the hang out of applying it correctly for my skin tone. I need to use a really fluffy brush, go extremely light and sheer with the product, and watch how much I buff it. Less buffing keeps it more fuchsia and duo-chrome; more buffing warms it up to slightly coral.
???– I promised I’d report back to Genevieve about the ColourPop No Filter Natural Matte Foundation. I’ve only been wearing it for a few days, but so far I like it and it works well with my oily skin.
*The shade recommended for me (Fair 05) by CP’s website was a great match.
*The foundation is VERY matte, but I don’t find it drying. It claims to have a blurring effect, and I think it somewhat does, but isn’t a miracle worker.
*A little goes a very long way, and over-application makes it look really cakey.
*I don’t notice any fragrance. I haven’t had any sensitivity or allergic reactions to it.
*It’s full-coverage without feeling mask-like. However, on me, it wants to settle into my forehead lines if I apply with my fingers or a brush. Brushes gave me the worst results.
*It looks beautiful after applying with a damp Beauty Blender, though it loses a little bit of opacity (which is to be expected). I was able to build it back up to full-coverage over my problem areas with a second coat.
*I wore it over Too Faced Hangover Primer (water-based), and used e.l.f. Mist & Set over it. The foundation is lasting 10 hours or so before starting to settle into my deeper forehead lines. By 12 hours, my nose looks oily, but the foundation doesn’t settle any further into my forehead lines.
*I think the foundation looks and behaves like a more light-weight version of Kat von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation. It’s much more comfortable-feeling than the KVD Lock-It.
Your skin tone/coloring: Above with freckles, green/blue/gray eyes and warm brown hair.
Favorite look from the week: A pretty halo eye using Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise in Marie Antoinette and the ABH Riviera palette, very bronzy and peachy at the same time. I also used the ND Bloom Palette on my cheeks and Tom Ford Casablanca lipstick. Very fresh!
Your most used product this week: ND Blush palettes, hands down. I can’t stop using them and I love how different the results are each time I use them!
Any beauty discoveries… Just that I prefer a rosy nude lipstick on me over anything with a peachy or brown tone. It looks so much more youthful on my skin.
Replying late because for some reason this Week in Review didn’t show up in the daily email for me-maybe the message got clipped by my email provider?
Your skin tone/coloring: fair/cool skin, gray eyes, brown hair with red highlights and scattered blonde/blue strands
Favorite look from the week: Last Tuesday I had a doctor’s appointment and a stop at my pharmacy, my parents and I had appointments with our tax accountant, and then we went to a nice Italian restaurant near the accountant’s office. In an (IMO successful) effort to look polished for every obligation, I did an all-berry look-Maybelline SuperStay Better Skin 10 Ivory concealer, Fenty Amber MatchStick, Fenty Pro Filt’r 110 foundation, Revlon Mauvelous blush, Becca Light Chaser Amethyst Flashes Geode highlighter, UD Born to Run Wildheart (all over lid) and Hell Ride (outer corner) shadows, Tom Ford TX22 mascara, a mix of Revlon Wine with Everything Pearl and Revlon Black Cherry lipsticks, plus a berry tee, a dark pink cardigan, and sparkly pink sneakers.
Your most used product this week: Wine with Everything Pearl-it’s wine/berry enough to look wine/berry, red enough to look red, shimmery enough not to look harsh, and it mixes well.
Any beauty discoveries (new or old): With how good Black Cherry and Wine with Everything Pearl looked mixed, I probably will end up buying Tom Ford Liev.
